Neo-con Republican Association or more appropriate, Neo-con Ripoff Association. The fact that it is named after rifles sets me off. It immediately gets me thinking of the false hunting argument, as if the founders wanted to keep personal meat supply available. I haven't read much on them myself, but the Gun Owners of America seems to be the much better choice.

I'd be willing to bet 90% of NRA members don't even realize the organization is working against furthering their personal interests.

The rifle name doesn't bother me, seeing as when the organization was founded. NRA did endorse Perry, saying they have a tradition of endorsing incumbents (Ron Paul has that same policy), and they said KBH is good on gun issues as well. No mention of course of DM.

Is there anyway we can get the GOA to endorse Medina? They endorsed Rand based on the fact that they have a great relationship with Dr. Paul. If Dr. Paul sends them a letter or something telling the GOA how strong she is on the Second, why couldn't they endorse her?

Medina should put out a press release deploring Perry for allowing legitimate gun shows being harassed and even forced to close in Austin. How can a so called pro gun governor allow such a thing to happen on his watch.
They are not allowing private sales at the shows to occur without being processed through a FFL dealer in order to get the background check done.
There is presently no law requiring this.

We need to Gun Owners of America endorsement ASAP

Email them with the facts about Debra. :)

We might also contact Jesse Benton and ask him to get involved with this.

If the GOA has endorsed her, I can't find it on Medina's endorsement page. (Granted, with over 200 entries, I may have overlooked it.)

Membership starts at $20 per person... pretty affordable. Perhaps a lot of offers to sign up in exchange for endorsing a platter full of Liberty candidates (ie Medina, Kokesh, our own "Gunny Freedom" aka Glen Bradley, etc) might have some effect...

I'm overdue to renew my own membership... maybe I'll offer to sign up as a Life Member if they pull out the stops on the endorsements! :)

What;s the status of the GOA endorsement? Can we petition them to back Medina?
