Ellie Light sure gets around.

In recent weeks, Light has published virtually identical “Letters to the Editor” in support of President Barack Obama in more than a dozen newspapers.Every letter claimed a different residence for Light that happened to be in the newspaper’s circulation area.

Obama has both detractors and fans. A curious number of his fans are named Ellie Light.“It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News.

A letter from Light in the Jan. 20 edition of the San Francisco Examiner concluded with an identical sentence, but with an address for Light all the way across the country in Daly City, California.

Variations of Light’s letter ran in Ohio’s Mansfield News Journal on Jan. 13, with Light claiming an address in Mansfield; in New Mexico’s Ruidoso News on Jan. 12, claiming an address in Three Rivers; in South Carolina’s The Sun News on Jan. 18, claiming an address in Myrtle Beach; and in the Daily News Leader of Staunton, Virginia on Jan. 15, claiming an address in Waynesboro. Her publications list includes other papers in Ohio, West Virginia, Maine, Michigan, Iowa, Pennsylvania and California, all claiming separate addresses.

Left Coast Rebel: "Ellie Light's" Letters to the Editor Showing up All Over the U.S.: I Smell a (Plouffe, Organizing for America)

This story is interesting, I just caught it from Memeoranum (http://www.memeorandum.com/100122/p88#a100122p88) in Cleveland.com (http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2010/01/letter_writer_claims_diverse_r.html). It seems that an Obama-fan has been making the rounds, around the country, expressing support for Obama and claiming residence in each newspaper district that she writes a letter to the editor. I wonder how many times this is taking place across the country? I smell a rat. Listen to these tidbits of what she has written:

“It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News (http://www.philly.com/dailynews/opinion/20100119_Letters__U_S__woes_can_t_be_cured_overnig ht.html).

A letter from Light in the Jan. 20 edition of the San Francisco Examiner (http://www.sfexaminer.com/opinion/82120147.html) concluded with an identical sentence, but with an address for Light all the way across the country in Daly City, California.

Variations of Light’s letter ran in Ohio’s Mansfield News Journal (http://www.mansfieldnewsjournal.com/article/20100113/OPINION03/1130317/Obama-never-promised-solutions-would-be-quick-and-easy) on Jan. 13, with Light claiming an address in Mansfield; in New Mexico’s Ruidoso News (http://www.ruidosonews.com/ruidoso-opinion/ci_14176241) on Jan. 12, claiming an address in Three Rivers; in South Carolina’s The Sun News (http://www.mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/82553.html) on Jan. 18, claiming an address in Myrtle Beach; and in the Daily News Leader (http://www.newsleader.com/article/20100115/OPINION03/1150317/Obama-never-said-he-had-a-magic-wand) of Staunton, Virginia on Jan. 15, claiming an address in Waynesboro. Her publications list includes other papers (http://www.philly.com/community/pa/philadelphia/netimes/Letters_to_the_Editor_for_Jan_14_2010.html?viewAll =y) in Ohio (http://www.chillicothegazette.com/article/20100117/OPINION03/1170305/President-can-t-fix-everything-overnight), West Virginia (http://www.weirtondailytimes.com/page/content.detail/id/533581.html), Maine (http://www.maineville.com/detail/135196.html), Michigan (http://www.ourmidland.com/articles/2010/01/17/opinion/letters/2350077.txt), Iowa (http://www.newtondailynews.com/articles/2010/01/12/r_00tu3j9ct8in0peeel6jaw/index.xml), Pennsylvania (http://www.dailyamerican.com/articles/2010/01/11/opinion/letters_to_editor/letter113.txt) and California (http://www.thecalifornian.com/article/20100112/OPINION04/1120302/Soapbox++Obama+told+us+solutions+will+take+time), all claiming separate addresses.

Apparently the gig wasn't up for this certain 'Ellie Light' until the the reporter from Cleveland.com (http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2010/01/letter_writer_claims_diverse_r.html) thought something was fishy and tried to dig up information on this 'Ellie Light' individual. Too bad noone else in the press has the integrity or sense to Google someone's name (or cares since The One is being defended).

I assume that 'Ellie Light' is just another David Plouffe 'Organizing for America' troll. I have been frequented by these types and I delete their comments, they are easy to spot and similiar to the 'seminar callers' that you hear about on conservative am talk shows. Go here (http://reaganiterepublicanresistance.blogspot.com/2009/04/yes-we-can-internet-op-morphs-into.html) for Reaganite's excellent post (http://reaganiterepublicanresistance.blogspot.com/2009/04/yes-we-can-internet-op-morphs-into.html) on the Plouffe/Organizing for America Orwellian mind control antics (that helped elect the Obamanation). I'm sure that the Obama administration has a hand in the 'Ellie Lights' of today as well - it's even possible that they are paid by the White House.

This story proves to me (again) the incompetence of the nation's dying press outlets, especially print media. These folks are simply too corrupt, ideological and lazy to do even pull off a modicum of the heavy lifting that traditional American media used to do. It is a shame that Americans have to turn to alternative media like the Left Coast Rebel for information and analysis.

Then again, I guess it's not.
