A House-passed provision to open up the Federal Reserve to an audit by the Government Accountability Office is unlikely to be included in the Senate reform package, Barney Frank told a meeting of House Financial Services Committee members Wednesday, according to people in the room. Frank, chairman of the committee, told the members that Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) told him that he had assured Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.) that it wouldn't be a part of the bill.

At least Dr. Paul doesn't have to vote against this own Bill.

Two senators that are not returning are holding it up, how convenient.

Dodd is negotiating the Fed-audit provision directly with Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.).

Shelby is the main Fed Senator in the senate, he has blocked stuff like this before..

we need some way to put pressure on Shelby

This is no surprise.....

The FED owns people. If you want a "war" you have to fight instead of whine and cry like "girly men". There was a time when the people would mob officials and use some force, that was the "good ol days".

How much do you want to bet that he's on his way to a cush private sector job with either a bank or a pharmaceutical company?

I just got an action request from C4L to call our Senators to vote no on Cloture (reinstating Bernankie0, and to audit the Fed before any decision concerning Bernankie. I assume everyone here is receiving the same. But if not, be sure to go to http://www.campaignforliberty.com/index.php? , and sign up for news letters. Also be sure to call your Senators.

Also the front page of that sight has improved considerably lately...updates regularly, and more information directly from Ron Paul. http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml

Judd Gregg is a lame duck. He's not seeking reelection this year, so he doesn't care about the people... it probably more on the job he has lined up in the after life. I see Gregg going the same path as ex Senator Phil Gramm. SELLOUT and then get a 7 figure job reward.

How is that possible? There was a vote and he won to have it included, how can that be taken out now?
