I've recently been in contact with the people behind the upcoming documentary film, An Inconvenient Tax (http://aninconvenienttax.com/aitblog/), about including Ron Paul in their film. They've expressed a big interest in including Ron Paul in their film and have asked me if there is someone I can put them in contact with so that they can set up an interview.

Because I have no association with Ron Paul, I do not know who to put them in touch with to make this happen. I'm wondering if anyone here can tell me who to have the people behind An Inconvenient Tax contact about interviewing Ron Paul for their film. It would be preferable to put them in contact with a member of Ron Paul's staff who deals with such matters, rather than some email address for the press to contact Ron Paul about interviews, so that they can quickly get a response and work something out.

The film has been finished and is set for release symbolically on April 15, 2010 (Tax Day) in select theatres. They are still more than happy to include Ron Paul in the film before its theatrical release if they can get in touch with him to set something up. Even if they can't edit Ron Paul into their film before its release, they would still add him to the DVD release either in the film itself or as a special feature on the DVD.

Please respond ASAP, your help is greatly appreciated!

Call Rachael Mills at the DC Congressional office.

Sorry for the late response, but thanks for the help! Ron Paul was interviewed and made it into the film! And to top it off as a result of the interview, the filmmaker (who had not previously heard of Ron Paul) became a fan.

By the way, I absolutely loved For Liberty, especially all the DVD extras like the interviews with Adam Kokesh and Bradley A. Smith. I bought Smith's book Unfree Speech: The Folly Of Campaign Finance Reform (http://press.princeton.edu/titles/7030.html) because of it.

Watched the trailer, disagree with the flat tax.

Need to eliminate the income tax, and replace it with nothing...

The guy created a film on the income tax but hadn't heard of Ron Paul? Tell me he at least included Irwin Schiff or Joe Bannister.

I hope it's not just a neo-con Neil Boortz lovefest movie...

That's part of the reason I worked to get Ron Paul in the film, because he brings several unique perspectives on the income tax that are rarely heard. Such as...

1. Paul believes that the country could abolish the individual income tax by scaling back federal spending to its fiscal year 2000 levels; financing government operations would primarily come through the corporate income tax, excise taxes and tariffs. - Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul#Political_positions)

2. "If you concede the principle of the income tax, you concede the principle that the government owns all your income and permits you to keep a certain percentage of it." - YouTube - Ron Paul - Interview (9.17.09) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v75fgTNwPlY) (Approximately 4 minutes in: Why do you oppose the income tax? Question submitted by: Mike Phillips Madison, WI)

The second argument is something I've long advocated, but have only heard a couple people ever make this point. It is for this reason that I find the FairTax preferable, albeit maybe not ideal, to the income tax.
