I was supposed to go, and paid for it. But then I couldn't get out of work today.

I am pissed. Thankfully I am in grad school and got a student ticket so I didn't pay full price.

Michael Steele? HE'S DONE.

For anyone who didn't know, at the Texas Straw Poll, Steele introduced several candidates to give their speeches, and then disappeared when it was Ron Paul's turn. Someone else had to introduce Ron.

For anyone who didnt watch this program, you missed something BIG!!!!!

RP brought the house down. Period and he was tired!

Brownback shows up with the IRS code stacked 3 feet high says get rid of it NOW

Huck was excellent, his best yet. Says also IRS has to go NOW

Micheal Steele "hes done" says REVOLUTION 7 times during his speech and says forget about 2006, big govt has to be cut off, be careful in your voting.

The prosperity grassroots director from New jersey awesome speech
ends his speech with " Ladies and gents, there is a line that has been drawn in the sand from NY to Wisconsin to CA, on one side of that line stands big govt, nanny, entitlement, the other side FREEDOM AND LIBERTY! your choice"

The Virginia director awesome, all founding fathers.

Thats where I stopped but revolution was very big. I hope this helps anyone who couldnt watch:)

I couldn't believe Ghouliani copied Paul, but he did! That was an extraordinary statement. As someone who lived through this speech, to say that. I don't think I've ever heard that before, and I've heard a lot of absurd speeches. And I would ask the gentlemen to please withdraw that last comment and say he didn't really mean that.
Astonishingly some people applauded.
Ron's speech was great (What's better than the original?) and he mentioned almost all campaign issues.
Bad moment when music introduced the next speaker and Ron wasn't finished with his speech at all.

Why is that?

Becuase in 8 years of working in the senate, he never authored one single bill, because he consistantly votes on gun regulation, and because he "all of the sudden" gives a shit about the constitution. And becuase right now, he is reciting some of Ron Pauls stances, practically verbaitum.

DC forum sounds the music on Paul Posted: Friday, October 05, 2007 11:10 AM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Andy Merten
Six GOP presidential candidates are taking their turns addressing the Americans for Prosperity "Defending the American Dream Summit" here in Washington, today. They are targeting government spending and taxation. Casually watching the forum from our offices, we at First Read noticed some unfair time allocations to different candidates.

After Giuliani spoke for nearly 25 minutes, Ron Paul, who may have earned his time to speak with this quarter's fund raising, took the stage. Speaking for just over 10 minutes, Paul was then cut off by the stage music -- a tactic usually reserved for an emotional Oscar-winning actress (or one that gets a little too political) to wrap it up.

We'll have more about the forum, later, but thought this was an interesting tidbit.

My guess: this will do more to boost Paul's campaign than those extra 15 minutes would have.
