YouTube - What's so bad about socialism? with William Baker (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He0ozl_4QTg)

Obama's not a socialist, nobody wants socialism, but...like, if we did....why would that be wrong?

And these people believe this with all their hearts.

From the comments:
Charlatans like Ron Paul evade owning up to the disconnect by evoking the Constitutional mandates. Well, who ever said the founders prescribed to the theories of these so-called libertarians in the first place? They may have believed in market principles, but that doesn't make them Milton Friedman.

Picking apart that comment would give it too much legitimacy

The problem is there is no reward or incentive for hard work or achievement. What you earn will be redistributed to the lazy and incompetent. In the USA we are very close to this already. That's why I only work part time these days. I'm not feeding the beast anymore than I have to.

According to the an-cap doctrine/dogma/cultism, a person doesn't have the right to give up his choice, nor does a society have a right to voluntarily choose, through vote or consensus, cooperative collectivism.

Furthermore, it's wrong because the Bible doesn't allow it.

A "society" is an abstract grouping of individuals. A society cannot chose anything. Only an individual can chose. People chose. Ideas do not chose.

If many people chose to work together in a cooperative collective, that is completely fine. But if someone forces someone else to be a part of their cooperative collective that is not okay. Get it?
