Hello Everyone!

Jeffrey Schott, is running in the Republican primary for US Congress in the PA 8th district. If he is nominated, he will oppose incumbent Democrat Patrick Murphy for the seat. I want to take this opportunity to make the forum aware of his candidacy and provide some links to some of the local organizations that are stirring up conservative sentiment in the 8th district.

Here is the campaign website: jeffreyschott.com (http://www.jeffreyschott.com)

This is a great local organization, they hosted a candidate forum on the 11th. Over 1,000 attended http://www.thekitchentablepatriots.org/

This is the PA 9-12 Project chapter. They hosted an event with Jeffrey Schott as a speaker on the 13th around 100 attended http://pennsylvania912.ning.com/

Check out the website! Jeff is running a campaign focused on controlling government spending, evaluating and eliminating wasteful government programs, keeping the government out of healthcare, and bringing the troops home to protect OUR borders.

#1 On his issues page he said nothing about bringing home the troops and ending the wars. All he said was we needed to station troops along the border.

#2 He favors regulation on the energy sector to "reduce pollution and increase efficiency". Free-market will fix both. He has no clue.

#3 I find it suspicious he has nothing about foreign policy on his issues page.

#4 He favors a freeze of the budget, not an immediate reduction. He also favors streamlining programs instead of abolishing. (You can't streamline something which is inherently inefficient, wasteful, and immoral)

#5 He doesn't talk about the War on Drugs, which is a massive problem both financially (Hey, he is a "fiscal conservative" right?), and to our civil liberties.

Sorry, run of the mill politician. Sometimes I feel like it's 1994 all over, then I see candidates like Kokesh and Schiff and feel a bit relieved. Can someone who is in his district hand this guy a Mises, Rothbard, Fetter, or Block book please?
