Rob Lowry has been a friend of mine for about 5 years. We served together on the board of directors of a local organization called South Texas Charities. He's a Ron Paul guy all the way. He was supporter of our local Ron Paul group during the campaign and was a delegate with us at the state convention. If there was anybody affiliated with the Ron Paul campaign in San Antonio that should get elected to office it's Rob. You can put him alongside Debra Medina.

He has a shot at the Republican spot, but our district (CD 23) is a very strong Democrat district so unseating the incumbent Ciro Rodriguez is going to be tough. However, as a doctor and surgeon he has spent a lot of time volunteering in the Democratic end of the district and has a lot of connections. He has also been very active in the Republican Party here locally in the past and has a lot of connections there as well. He has busted out in the last week and has a whole bunch of 4' x 8' signs out on the freeways right now. No one else does, at least in the San Antonio portion of the district. It's a BIG district that runs from the west side of San Antonio about 550 miles to the New Mexico border just short of El Paso. We both live in the top part of the "C" that it forms on the west side of San Antonio. MAP (http://www.thegreenpapers.com/maps/111th.cgi?TXH23) He is definitely worth supporting for anyone who is a fan of Ron Paul.

His two opponents for the Republican spot are Quico Canseco, a party parrot who is an attorney in Laredo, and Will Hurd, a young ex-CIA Operations Officer who is basically unemployed and looking for a job who is also a party parrot. They are both very nice guys, but are what I like to refer to as Useful Idiots. Quico has run every time for the last 6 years and has never gotten the Republican spot. In a recent Candidates Forum hosted by the Republican Liberty Caucus of Bexar County Rob got very favorable response from the crowd. In a nutshell it was the Ron Paul guy vs. two neocons.

Email I received:
Dear Friend,

The 2010 election cycle is taking off fast. Early voting in the Texas Primary begins next Tuesday February 16th, and the March 2nd primary will be here before we know it!

This year, Texans have an opportunity to elect another Dr. "No" to Congress. Dr. Robert Lowry is running in the Republican Primary in the 23rd district and has a real shot to win.

Dr. Robert Lowry has been a tremendous supporter of mine for years. He has tirelessly volunteered both his time and his money and has a tremendous understanding of Liberty and the Constitution. I know that if Dr. Lowry joined me in Congressman, I would vote alone much less often because Robert would be voting against big government and unconstitutional legislation right along with me.

Robert Lowry understands the difficult issue facing our country mountains of debt, runaway spending and an out-of-control Federal Reserve destroying our dollar. I need allies in Congress like Dr. Lowry, and I also need your help.

Please support Dr. Lowry in any way you can: with your time as a volunteer, a financial contribution or most importantly, with your vote. I just sent Dr. Lowry's campaign a donation and I hope you can too - his website can be found here (http://drlowryforcongress.netboots.net/).

Remember, early voting begins next week. If we all get to the polls and support the right people like Dr. Robert Lowry, we can defend our Texas values and take back our freedoms.

In Liberty,

Ron Paul
