Wow, she did? So I'm right, there IS something really compelling about watching him interact with babies, I'm not the only one. I hope the campaign picks up on this.

I would love to see an ad showing him and a little baby smiling at each other, with his voiceover talking earnestly about saving America for future generations.

You'd have to be a damn fine actor to fake that sorta sincerity, babies see through bullshit like none else :D

I know, it's something about him with babies - no other candidate can pull it off sincerely enough. It just completely melts my heart and I am a pretty jaded woman.

I've thought a lot about why Ron Paul looks so much more convincing in those baby shots than any other candidate and I believe it's because of this thing called synchronicity. I took some early childhood education classes to fulfill some of my gen ed requirements and I remember learning about this concept called synchronicity where the main care provider has this amazing unconscious non-verbal communication with the baby where their movements are in synch, almost like a dance - if the baby leans out, the care provider adjusts to compensate. It's a rapport that's done unconsciously. It's pretty apparent to me in the photos below that Ron Paul has had so much experience with babies he has this synchronicity thing down pat, since he almost mirrors the baby's movements. (Okay, I've obviously spent waaaaaayyyy too much time thinking about this and am now so smitten with Ron Paul that I have lost all objectivity.)

I like how in the first picture people are looking at the girl as if to gauge Ron's authenticity and they can't help but smile. That to me speaks volumes.
