Let's hope and pray that with enough support, we can get this gal into the next debate too!

"If Perry and Hutchison did admirable jobs delivering the performances they needed, the real find here is Medina. This nurse, businesswoman and former chair of the Wharton County Republican Party more than held her own sitting between two modern titans.

She painted them as conservative in rhetoric, but insufficiently so in practice. She floated her boldest idea – scrapping property taxes for a higher sales tax – and courageously revealed a libertarian streak that teaches that each state should have a debate over drug legalization. (I said courageously, not necessarily wisely.)

Her supporters came out with banners and signs far more plentiful than the average candidate in single digits. Maybe she won't be in single digits for long.

But unless something changes more profoundly, and fast, this is going to be a Perry win, with Hutchison a not-so-close second, and with Medina scoring enough to force her rivals into a runoff that Perry would win comfortably. "
