John Shadegg (R) is retiring, for real this time, so his district, AZ-03, a pretty safe Republican district is now open. Please tell me we have a Ron Paul Republican in AZ-03!

This is a district we actually could win...

This is basically where the Arizona Freedom's Pheonix Crew is right?

They need to get a real good anti-war free market liberty candidate to run as a republican in the primary - and then he will win the general easy because it's a conservative district.

Possible GOP candidates include... former Arizona State University football standout Andrew Walter...

I wonder where he stands on the issues

Shadegg is an RLC member, I think. I would hope we have a candidate there.

A lot of guys are RLC members who shouldn't be. Shadegg isn't the worst Republican, he authored the Enumerated Powers Act and the bill to make it so you can get out-of-state health insurance, but he did vote for the bailout.

I think he also voted for the patriot act.
