Reading the comments section on that video is like traversing a gauntlet of bitterness and hostility. Why do these people hate eachother so much?

I haven't read the story yet. It looked like the guy was trying to ask a question when he was assaulted?

Which means that only credentialed members of the media are allowed to ask her questions?

LMAO: Boston Globe headline: Reporter takes stumble chasing Mass. candidate
(http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2010/01/13/reporter_takes_stumble_chasing_mass_candidate/?comments=all&plckCurrentPage=1)

Meehan isn't just an aide - he's paid by the DSCC.

My favorite comment from the Globe story:

if this had happened in Mass, with the video clearly showing the assault by Michael Meehan on the reporter, would the Attorney General Coakley, the top law enforcement of the state, prosecute the case?

He is also awaiting approval for some post Obama has appointed him to, I gathered from reading in some of the various comments.

I think it might have been the Boston Herald piece...

S L O W L Y - this story is getting some play.

This is how everyone from The Weekly Standard should be treated.

That's a fucking ignorant thing to say, Justin.

It is NOT OKAY to initiate violence against others, period.

It is ESPECIALLY NOT OKAY for POLITICIANS to have people ATTACKED, ever.

Even if the person is a dickhead reporter for some rag that liberty advocates despise.

This is how everyone from The Weekly Standard should be treated.

Nonsense. He was a man on a public street asking a question of a serving government official who is running for Senate.

Democrats are just plain brutal.

i've tried to avoid this thread. young mr. michael meehan, is he a relative of this fellow???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Meehan like if the press dude IS a first rate reporter & there
was a scuffle and he was not at fault ...are we to again see further coverage of this incident??
should i view this story inside the context of the 2 sides who are now running attack ads?

I view this from the context of "What did we do before everybody had cameras???"
