Feingold meeting in Wisconsin

Just got back from a Russ Feingold listening session at MATC north campus in Mequon (north of Milwaukee). The place was packed ..... standing room only. Russ is as arrogant in person as he is in his dealings through e mail.

Aside from a few union plants in the audience it was 99% against anything obama or democrat. Russ smirked at the people throughout the 90 minute event ....almost as if he was laughing at how stupid we all were.

He side-stepped most of the difficult questions and just plain lied about the rest ..... probably the biggest whopper that he told was that all members of congress and their staffs would be part of any government run health care ..... even though that provision was voted down on a straight party line vote. One person the senator wasn't smiling at was a middle aged British woman who took themicrophone and started talking the health care issue to which Feingold replied that she just didn't understand how it all works. Russ was more than a little surprised when she shot back that she is a practicing physician and she knows all about health care .... a hell of a lot more than he does.

She took Feingold to task on a variety of healthcare issues including the provision in the bill that sets quotas for who gets into med school....... when the 4.0 grade point genius white kid is denied access to medical school in favor of some minority who may be far less qualified. She asked Russ if he had any idea how difficult it was to become a physician and how completely moronic and destructive it would be to make admission to medical school based on anything but intelligence or ability.


When she finished making a short sausage out of the senator, she turned to the crowd almost screaming she begged people not to accept this fate and not let this happen in this country. She got a standing ovation. At which point Russ tried to shout her down in his best Jewish dialect but he got shouted down by the crowd as she warned people that they have no idea just how bad health care can be with the government involved in it as it is in her homeland.

Little Russell, wasn't smiling at that point ...... he'll probably have the IRS look into her tax records or have her medical license revoked. It may all be a wasted effort in the end ..... but we can't give up and pompous jerks like Feingold need to be removed from office.

Wow wish there was video....so they put ANOTHER racist provision in there determining who can be admitted into medical school based on race?

I looked for the video on youtube but couldn't find anything. This guy below had some pretty good questions though regarding body scanners and Ben Bernanke's confirmation. Feingold mentioned that he has signed on to Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill, which got some nice applause. :) Then he mentioned that he voted against the Patriot Act and only one person clapped. :mad: Oh well, that's some progress at least as far as people waking up.

Feingold is a democrat who is for smaller government than most asshats who call themselves republicans.

Civil liberties + foreign policy > than 50% of the issues. He is a democrat, but at least he is straightforward enough to know where he stands on the issues.

There may be 10 guys in all of congress who are of decent character, and we should at least do our homework to know who these guys are, before we put them in the same category as snakes like Arlen Spector, Mitt Romney, McCain, Reid, Pelosi who suck on 99% of the issues, and never stand on principle.

I'm not saying we should disagree, but they should bear the brunt of our wrath, like those two faced liars above do. What I am saying is we should keep things in perspective, and use discernment before going ballistic on every Senator.

Feingold is probably the most respectable Democrat in the Senate. Even though he is a flaming liberal he has done a lot of good things over the years to set himself apart from most of the braindead zombies in congress, like being the only senator to vote against the Patriot Act in 2001.
