Dear Taxpayer,

Small Business Owners, the NH legislature is about to determine YOUR ANNUAL COMPENSATION !!! On Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Concord, the House Ways and Means Committee will be holding a pubic hearing at 9:00 AM in LOB 201-203 on HB 1607. What is HB 1607? Great Question.

HB 1607 … is the legislation that, if passed, will allow the legislature to determine how much compensation you, as a small business owner, can receive!!! If YOUR elected officials determine a business owner has compensated him/herself over what is “Reasonable,” you and your business will be required to restate your earnings, which will trigger a combined 13.5% new tax on both your small company and your personal income above the “Reasonable Compensation” level.

What ever happened to allowing business owners to work hard and determine his/her own compensation? The tax and spend liberals don’t like this notion because it reduces the amount of revenue the State can collect and spend.

Your elected officials can determined that $50,000 in compensation is “Reasonable” regardless of the size of your LLC or sole proprietorship.

The only way to prevent this from being law is to contact the members of the House Ways and Means Committee. Click here to contact your representative.

Below are the Members of the Ways and Means Committee. Please call YOUR Representative first. Also be sure to E-mail AND CALL all of the Committee members.

This hearing is just over the definition of certain terms in the legislation and likely this won't kick in for a while as the hearings press on.

There's a lot of pissed off business owners here that have been showing up at past hearings over this bill. This increase in the LLC tax was tossed in the budget at 1am back at some vote in december by those filthy democrats. However, passing this tax will be a nail into the democrat's coffin in November. Either way, I know of a state rep that has already filed a bill to repeal this travesty in the event that it stands. And when the NH GOP inevitably takes over in November, this will be all done with.

I thought this was already law everywhere. You can't pay yourself a salary that is more than the going salary for the position you hold. The rest of your business earnings have to be in the form of capital gains instead of salary.

People that were sick of Bush and the Iraq War back in 2006. The GOP gained back 17 seats in the House in '08. 2010 will see a Republican Renaissance thx to the damage that's been inflicted by the democrat majority lately. Even nationally, the GOP is set to recapture some of their lost seats in 2010. Our GOP minority are quite libertarian in their voting records and we have many new pro-liberty candidates that are targeting democrats that reign from toss-up districts. We have great liberty activists that are raising money and canvassing for good candidates in the upcoming elections, things should go well.

It was blowback from Bush. It parts of the state where Ron Paul got 20% of the vote we lost ALL our Ron Paul Rebs to dems by 1 or 2%. Which is a VERY small number like 10-50 votes.

We will take back the house next round but we must stop this NOW.
