View Full Version : How To Raise More Money For Ron Paul: Create Supporters!

In my opinion, the most powerful thing to convince people to vote for Ron Paul is this:

Let them hear Ron Paul speak

Ron Paul can sell his message better than anyone else. We can tell people his positions, but they are still hearing them second-hand.

What is a simple way to have people listen to Ron Paul? Well, the simplest way is telling them to "Google Ron Paul" but most won't go do it. Instead of that, here is a very simple and very direct way to guarantee people get a chance to listen to Ron Paul:

Download good Ron Paul videos to your laptop (its easy)
Show a Ron Paul video to every voter in your neighborhood

Thats it!

By doing that, you can literally convince almost everyone in your neighborhood to vote for Ron Paul from a single Saturday's work! It doesn't have to be a long video either, just a short clip of his position on Iraq will open everyone's eyes!

To see the video I made about this, watch The Ron Paul Laptop Brigade (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKsKY6Gmc3M) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKsKY6Gmc3M)

The more die-hard supporters Ron Paul has, the more money he will raise!

Here is a good way to go about this:

Knock on a neighbor's door and introduce yourself
Ask for a moment to tell them about Ron Paul
Tell them Ron Paul is a 10 term Texas Congressman running for President who is a champion of the Constitution and individual liberty
Ask if you can play a short Ron Paul video
Answer any questions they have
Hand them a Ron Paul flyer if you have one
Remind them to register Republican for the primaries to vote for Ron Paul

Here are some video suggestions:

Yeah, about 95% of the people I show the video to are completely blown away by Ron Paul!

This is actually the best idea ever. This is by far the most effective method to convince and spread the Ron Paul message.
Unfortunately, I fall in the "I wish I had a laptop category".:(

Once you do that you could advertise this -1,000,000 people donate $100 for Ron Paul pledge when you go door to door or whenever you meet a genuine Ron Paul supporter.

This will take affect when 1,000,000 people pledge to donate $100 to Ron Pauls Presidential candidacy...

Lets see if we can make this happen. Cut, Paste, Post. Repeat as necessary...

Over a thousand people have signed up already. You can digg it here:

Which video?

This one has the biggest effect for people that want out of Iraq: Laptop Brigade: Marching for the Constitution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av1DjGkORvU) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av1DjGkORvU)
It's a 2 minute clip of his "The people who think it will be a Bloodbath..." response during the Sept 5th Fox debate.

But you can create truly die-hard Ron Paul supporters by showing them Ron Paul: Stop Dreaming (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWfIhFhelm8) though most people wouldn't like it if you showed them an 8 minute video at their door (but if they're willing, show it to them! :) ).

Which video to use? I agree that the "Stop Dreaming" video is good but too long.

Maybe start them out with this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dblWqKh7De0

I think that sums it up really well and shows his growing support.

And then, if they are interested, move on to one of Aravoth's videos.

I'm just a little too shy for this, but please somebody make an .iso of like a 15 minute dvd with some of the best videos, even if the quality sucks.

I live in an apartment building and I'm not afraid of doing guerilla drop offs in the wee hours of the morning...

I don't want those long DVD's, I want something short and sweet in the spirit of the laptop brigade.

Here are some more short videos with Ron Paul's positions

Ron Paul on Immigration (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwZsBiZYocg)

these are from the campaign site

You Choose '08 Spotlight: Ron Paul on Civil Liberties (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6se9_wCZ2z0)

You Choose '08 Spotlight: Ron Paul on Monetary Policy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-W-ef7GmT4)

You Choose '08 Spotlight: Ron Paul on the Second Amendment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdxTg9x3Mbg)

You Choose '08 Spotlight: Ron Paul on Entitlements (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9JIwxhRfug)

Most of the ones from the campaign site are too long and Ron Paul's best responses are the spontaneous ones he makes during debates.

Its tough to find ones that are short & sweet. Also beware most news reports because most of them preface any good news about Ron Paul with obvious smear!

But I do show friends stuff.

I will be bringing both laptops to the flea market, because when one dies I'll recharge it and use the other.

Laptops are good, but there are products that dominate, like the archos:

* has wifi
* available with up to 100 GB of storage

* plug it into your TV and it's a DVR

Personally I do not like this so much. I would not like it at all if someone tried to shove a video in my face.

Educate yourself about Ron Paul so that you can hold a good convincing argument with your neighbor. Your neighbor o friend knows you personally on some level. This creates a bond and a particular level of authority in your opinion that can not be matched in any other way.

If you do not have a laptop, but you have a desktop PC or Mac, then burn a DVD and show the videos to people with a portable DVD player.

You don't have to "shove a video" in their face. Here is how I recommend going about it:

Knock on a neighbor's door and introduce yourself

Thanks. This approach isn't for everyone but it's the most effective method I've seen so far to build Ron Paul's base. It is also a good way to get to know your neighbors because I barely knew anyone until I went around and introduced myself. Truthfully, it takes some balls to put yourself out like this, but, balls-of-steel are what we all need if we're sincere in getting Ron Paul elected

Many multi level marketers are doing the same thing with laptop presentations at restaurant tables all over the country. Usually they use a power point presentation.

Does anyone have one of these short 1-2 minute videos that showcase a broader range of Ron Paul's stances?

Anti-War is a good message, but it'd be great to showcase his positions on reducing spending and taxes, and personal liberties and such...

Anyone care to make a condensed 'Stop Dreaming' type video? :D
