We are falling far short of donating one million dollars to the Ron Paul campaign for President this week. So far this week we have only collected two hundred thousand dollars. The fact is that Ron Paul needs our continual support if he is to obtain the Republican nomination!

Perhaps you have already donated. Many of you have already made sacrifices to support Ron Paul. You have donated money you had saved for other things, sold personal possessions, worked extra hours, or even taken second jobs. It's obvious this forum is filled with true patriots and defenders of liberty!

But the support you showed Ron Paul last week, last month, or in the past several months is simply not enough if we want him to WIN THE NOMINATION!

Please consider the following for a moment.

Every dollar you donate to the Ron Paul campaign is an investment. It is an investment that could yield you a tremendous return both in the financial sense and in liberty!

1) Ron Paul has made it clear if he becomes president the IRS and the income tax are to be abolished, period. Imagine the savings each year you would obtain by no longer having to pay up to a third of your income to the government!

2) Ron Paul has made it clear if he becomes president that individuals would be allowed to opt out of social security (if they so desire) so they could invest their money for retirement how THEY SEE FIT! Do you realize how much BETTER of a retirement you would have by saving that money in sensible investments rather than giving it to the politicians to fritter away? Instead of struggling to get by during retirement you could potentially be WEALTHY!

3) Ron Paul has made it clear he would cut government spending tremendously and end the borrowing of funds from other nations. This is vitally important, because this nation is going bankrupt from excessive spending and debt. Quite frankly, by supporting Ron Paul you are investing in the financial stability of this nation. This directly impacts YOU, because a depression in the USA would have negative consequences on all of us.

We really need to meet the goal for this month. If we can donate four million dollars this month it will be telling the world that Ron Paul's fund raising last quarter was not a fluke.

I've been thinking about this...I think we should be ready to organize a push, but not for this week.

I think if it looks like we will miss the goal this week, then we shouldnt intervene with our own push. We need to get new people for RP noticing the fundraising and commiting themselves. They are less likely to do that if he is on schedule.

However I think we do need to meet the goal for the month and should organize a reasonable petition for the last week of the qtr. Get a petition for 10,000 people for $200 each. Thats $2 million right there, half the goal for the month and both the 10,000 people and $200 each is very doable by the end of this month through existing supporters and bringing new ones into the fold.

Anyone interested in a 10,000 people, $200 pledge to be met the last week of October?
