Giuliani: Obama 'turned a corner' on terror
By Eric Zimmermann - 01/08/10 09:44 AM ET

Rudy Giuliani had some rare words of praise for President Obama today, saying the commander in chief had "turned the corner" in efforts to fight terrorism,.

In an appearance on Good Morning America, Giuliani praised Obama for stating in public remarks yesterday that the U.S. was at war with Al Qaeda. (This isn't the first time Obama has said that.)

But Giuliani also criticized the administration for trying alleged terrorist Umar Faroul Abdulmutallab in civilian court. The former New York Mayor said that assigning Abdulmutallab an attorney will decrease the chances of getting valuable information from him.

"Why would you put an artificial time limit on how much time you would spend questioning a terrorist?" said Giuliani, a former prosecutor.

Giuliani said Abdulmutallab should be interrogated and tried in a military tribunal, where he would have less rights and could be questioned without a lawyer for a longer period of time.

Giuliani, it should be noted, praised the 2006 civilian trial of Zacarias Moussaui, the 20th 9/11 hijacker, calling it a "symbol of American justice."

Rudy: "Mr. Obama you are doing a fantastic job draining our economy getting our soldiers killed making our country less safe like the last clown in office. As somebody who lived through 9/11 I would ask the president to withdrawal those comments because 9/11 is 9/11 9/11!!!!! Without 9/11 we wouldn't be in 9/11 killing 9/11 people.

Giuliani: No domestic terror attacks under Bush (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100109/ap_on_en_tv/us_terrorism_giuliani)

EDIT: Wanted to throw in there, a lot of theories, basically most of them, contending that 9/11 was an inside job, place Giuliani as a definite accomplice or planner, as the mayor of the city would be critical in manipulating things how they wanted. Him saying there was no terror attacks, actually may be a slip up of truth on his part, since he knew that 9/11 wasn't a terror attack and was a staged job.
