From :http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=225291

Basics:

He needs at least $100,000 to beat Lucy T. Allen, his Democratic opponent.
His goal is $20,000 by March.

WEBSITE MAKER NEEDED!: If there is anyone out there who can make him a website, preferably with a ticker, that would be fantastic.

Glen is a Ron Paul Republican all the way, and most importantly, is a member of RPF's. I'm gonna be donating whatever I can dig up on February 14th, hopefully I can get some matchers.

Current Pledges: 3

I officially pledge to donate, and encourage my fellow forum members to do the same.

he has a website.... does he want/need a special moneybomb one or can someone alter his index page for the day with a special money bomb page....

is there a moneybomb site to use as a template? isn't this part of what the campaign for liberty is for... to help out candidates?

He wants a money bomb one where people could pledge to donate. Either that or someway to setup a ticker, but a money bomb site is preferable. Your idea is very possible.

Campaign for Liberty won't help out anyone without a record. Since Glen is s former United States Marine, not a politician, so he can't meet their standards. However, if elected, he will be a defender of freedom. He has already stated he will author the North Carolina Firearms Freedom Act. In addition, Governor Bev Perdue (D-NC) has an approval rating of 27%, http://projects.newsobserver.com/under_the_dome/perdue_approval_at_27_percent, meaning he'll have a nice headwind in November.

Thanks TCE!

My current site is a Drupal content management site with a premium template. I know enough HTML to hodge it together and make it work. I once built webpages, but I used Dreamweaver...a very OOOOLLLLDDDD copy of Dreamweaver that no longer operated in my OS.

If I had Dreamweaver, or even GoLive, I have no doubt that I could build it, but I no longer have the necessary and proper tools.

A moneybomb page is generally completely distinct from a candidates site. Note Adam Kokesh http://thisjuly4th.com/AdamKokeshMoneyBomb/ or Rand Paul's former moneybomb site: http://www.runrandrun.com/

If they look like the candidate site, then they are seen as "top-down" which pretty much never works amongst individualists and libertarians. if they are different in every way, including on a different domain, then they are more of a grassroots operation, which always works better.

The requirements are a pledge widget that adds the user to a moneybomb mailing list, and something to track the pledge amount. Some kind of user feedback like the RP08 sites "latest donors" but instead "latest pledgers" would be exciting and interactive, but not that critical in the grand scheme.

We don't have any of Trevor's sites live that I know of, but that would provide a most excellent example as well.

The name will either be "First Flag Moneybomb" in recognition of the first time the US Flag was recognized by a foreign navy, or the "Marbury v Madison Moneybomb" in recognition of the first time Congress was overruled for passing unconstitutional law.

I sketched up a banner real quick this AM. It's way too big, and too tall, but tallness is not that much of a problem, as in reality we could set all 4 pages in a column for a faded background. this is what I sketched up this AM....it's "Marbury v Madison," although I am really leaning towards "First Flag." There are some negative connotations to Marbury v Madison also... I just liked the alliteration.

LOL @ GunnyMoney :D

I live the RonPaulGraphs at the RunRandRun site, but I don't have the kind of automation that would allow that :( if I had the live ticker, that could be developed, so people could watch the graph climb in real time, but I don't. That's what the ticker was all about.

the thermometer on my website now is maintained by hand.
