Dieseler, the AN/CAPs are hopeless. They, like communists, rely on a worldview where everyone is rational and is never jealous of their neighbor.

Reality is that most people are irrational, and often jealous.

Some of those have the organizational ability to create armies and states to roll over helpless An/Caps who are two busy selfishly pursueing their dreams in a hermit-like way to actually contribute to the common defense until it is too late to save lives, and resources.

In reality, the worst kinds of people make it to the highest levels of Governments... including the ones that start out as a Minarchy. Power corrupts absolutely.

If men are bad, then governments of men, composed of men, will also be bad - and probably worse, due to the State's amplification of coercive power. Most anarcho-capitalists understand that some men are okay and some aren't and there will always be some crime.

Not that I am trying to stifle discussion, but wouldn't it make more sense to worry about the federal government that is enslaving us right now? Rather than a hypothetical foreign government that might do it?

The minarchist idea is that the people should defend themselves and keep their government in check. This is just another fallacy in the minarchist philosophy. If the people are strong enough to keep their government in check, and their government is strong enough to keep foreign invaders out, then the people would obviously be strong enough to do it themselves.
