the party did not follow the rules at the 2008 convention, and the lower court did not follow the law and party rules, well duh!

Debra Medina tweets:
Medina wins appeal case against Rep. Party of Texas! Great way 2 end 2009. Will RPT follow law or will we be forced back to court in 2010? 10:13 PM Dec 31st, 2009 from web

the quorum report also reported that attorney fees to the party were denied

and this:

basically, from what I can remember from 1 1/2 years ago, is that a Ron Paul slate of delegates was elected (or proposed) and the establishment substituted their own slate of delegates, ignoring Robert's Rules of Order. this was appealed at the credentials committee at the convention, which ignored the party rules and left the establishment slate intact, and the state party leadership ignored the party rules, also, involving the timing of election of state leaders which weren't being done at the time specified in the convention.agenda.

Debra Medina sued and a lower court ruled with the party and also awarded legal fee payment by her to the party, saying this was a frivolous lawsuit.

she apparently just won the appeal case

It might be ignored by the media but this is a hammer which can be used by Liberty lovers in the Republican Party of Texas to clean house on "the good ole' boys." Trust is important and if the party elite can not be trusted to follow their own rules/make rules up as they go, then informed Texas Republicans may shake things up a bit within the party.
