According to Tom Woods on his Facebook Page:
"Check out the really creepy propaganda poster... this poster comes from a Latino group urging cooperation with the census."

Lol. What are they implying? Are they implying something about the legality of several latino immigrants with the comment, "don't be afraid"? Last I checked Jesus wasn't an illegal immigrant and the Roman Empire wasn't set on gerrymandering districts. Don't see the similarity.

They really were on their way to take the census when Jesus was born. It was for the Roman Empire I believe. Not sure about the don't be afraid part.

It was for the purposes of taxation:

Luke 2:1-20 (King James Version)

Luke 2

1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

2(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David.)

5To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

I guess the "don't be afraid" part refers to the biblical story of Herod Antipas putting to death all the first born.

So unlike Joseph and Mary, we "shouldn't be afraid" when the "roman" soldiers come, we just should "be counted" and then let the sword slice through us.

so is there a Spanish version?

also, I love his comment (at the link in the OP):

'I’m tempted to add a shiny poster of Jesus being crucified, with the text: “This is how Jesus died. Jesus cooperated with the Roman Empire’s criminal justice system. Don’t be afraid.”'

My first thought was that "don't be afraid" was a message to illegals that they shouldn't worry about being counted *shrug*

Notice the link at the bottom of the poster: http://www.civilrights.org/census/

The lefties want everyone to be counted in the census, so the districts can be gerrymandered favorably.

Gerrymandering is evil. Take it from me -- I live in a State with an overwhelmingly conservative population, but an overwhelmingly liberal government. Until 2008, NC always voted Republican for President, and yet for the last 100 years, NC has had a universally Democratic government. Redistricting/anti-gerrymandering is one of my platform planks running for State House.

Nope... They are just trying to get illegals to be in the census so that the Dems can gerrymander the districts in their favor. Since many illegals are Hispanic/Catholics they are trying to guilt them into it.
