That is disgraceful. By the way, Luke Rudowski of wearechange.com has confronted Bill Richardson, Al Gore, John Edwards, and David Gergen in the last couple of weeks on video, asking them questions about Bilderberg Group, CFR, Trilateral Commission, etc. I'm still eagerly awaiting seeing those!

This is... odd to say the least.

I used to be a reporter for a very independent newspaper. In October of 2000 I wound up with an invitation for a George W. Bush rally at the Wake Forest University debate. I was hoping to get a chance to ask Bush a few questions: nothing rude mind ya, but I was gonna try to make the most of the opportunity.

Bush staff found out that some "independent" journalists were there and sent Winston-Salem police to track us down. One of them demanded to see my driver's license and I asked why. About then a Bush staffer with a bullhorn came over and told me that I should do what she says "because whenever someone in a uniform tells you something you're supposed to obey."

This guy demanded to see my invitation. He snatched it out of my hands and said that I wasn't going to be attending this function. When I demanded to know why he threatened me with physical violence.

The cops escorted another reporter and myself to "the protest area" (this was the first time I'd ever heard of this little Bush concept) and told us if we tried to return to our vehicles through the fair grounds that we would be arrested.

A few years later I heard - and I've not found any reason to doubt this - that we were rounded up and sent packing on Bush's orders, after he heard that there were non-corporate media present and he told his staff to "haul those assholes out of here".

That night I saw the true side of the George W. Bush mindset. I'm not bitter about it now though: I'm just thankful that God showed me what a loser Bush really is, before I ever had a chance to vote for him (never have).

There are some people who are on a power trip too much for anybody's good. Sounds like that's what happened after tonight's debate, too.

Man, that's a creepy story! I never imagined the U.S. would become a police state, but it sure seems to be headed in that direction. Especially sad is that poor, brainwashed person who told you you have to "obey."

Especially sad is that poor, brainwashed person who told you you have to "obey."People like that will still be protesting "but we were only following orders..." right up to the last moments when they're put against the wall.

And Bush will say "But I was only ordering followers".

The "Free Speech Zones" are very authoritarian. Check out the wikipedia entry for them to see a couple of chilling pictures.

This whole country is supposed to be a free speech zone. Notice that the Democrats don't cry about it because they were more than happy to utilize the technique.

A lot of times the police arrest the protesters, with no intention of ever pressing charges, because they know the activities are protected by the law.

Did they charge him with anything, or just throw him out?

It is a CNN event, and on private property. They can throw people out if they want. If someone was annoying the crap out of me at something like that, I might do the same. Granted, the Infowars guys didn't seem at all rude... I'd say it was poor form, but not any sort of a blow against free speech (as long as they didn't charge him with anything).

They just throw him out
private property or not everyone has a right to speak.

Perhaps this is a measurement of how CNN deals with reporting news they don't like- they just may bury it in the newsroom. ?? I agree no Constitutional issues on private property other then the fact that CNN has certain privileged granted by our government that others don't get (who has access to the white house, etc?) Perhaps news agencies found in gross misconduct should lose all special privileges to access government reporting.

Maybe we should start some petitions.

Thw White House has used this technique for years. They only issue press passes to reporters who agree not to ask any "real" questions. They can question policy, but not actually investigate corruption.

Owners of private property can remove anyone from that property that they wish. Its their property. Had they attempted to silence this video or other Infowars communication, then yeah it would be a free speech issue. I say it was unusually rude of them, but not a censorship of free speech.
