Some irrelevant nerds believe the new decade does not really start until 2011 because there was never a year 0.

Opinions?

They are Red Sox fans who do not want to admit that the Yankees won two World Series championships in this decade.

You wouldn't say the year 2000 was part of the 90's

You are a good spy Danke. Who knows?
I'm packing my tent up and heading for the beach with my surfboard. I am camping here for the night:

I suspect the Israeli's will be dusting off their white phos as we speak, in retaliation for the New Year's rockets lobbed over from Gaza yesterday.

Calendars don't celebrate decades. People celebrate decades.

Yes you would if you wanted to be correct about the decade.

The millennium and this decade started on 2001 not 2000. The next decade will start 2011. There is no year 0. The first decade was year 1-10 not 0-9.

Call me an irrelevant nerd.

Come on now. There was no year 0. That's just silly.

Happy New Year regardless.
