American University Students Learn Political Culture
Today

Campaign tactics and lobbying were the focus of two American University programs today. The Campaign Management Inst. (CMI), looked at campaign techniques, strategy, and tactics. The Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute (PAAI) analyzed the relationship between lobbying and the legislative process on Capitol Hill.

Is this live today or the thing they replayed from yesterday? I watched it yesterday and found it pretty fascinating. It's like watching the enemy talking about how to use the sheep and how stupid we are and need to be herded like cattle... basically, but not in those words...

I missed yesterday - but it's online at the C-SPAN site. First lecture is a repub. 2 I watched earlier today were dems. there are 2 more I don't know what they are and will be 2-3 tomm. 9:50:00 AM - 2:45:00 PM

I'm guessing they will rebroadcast todays late tonight and will probably cover ones post tomm - but there is nothing on the calender yet. I caught that it's running at least into next Monday.

The targeting voters one is good - it's about analyzing precincts or counties election results to determine where you have the most swing voters and figuring out how many votes you need to win in an area to win that area.

The fundraising thing was pretty good. Had my doubts considering the lecturers affiliation, but you couldn't even tell he was gay and he was really non-partisan.

c-span still doens't have tomm's schedule up for tomm for c-span2, so I don't know if they will be covering it then. Hope so!

wtote and asked, no reply yet.

Definitely watch this series - it's worth it!
