any good recommended readings?

Hello,

Pretty soon I'll be canvassing at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. If there was ever a school that was Daily KOS in the flesh, this is it. I'm guessing in a nutshell, many will love Ron Paul's foreign policy, but view his Domestic Policy as the bane of anything progressive. Does anyone know where I can find some good books / websites / videos / whatever, that discuss healthcare, social security, education, environmental policy, economics, and so forth? I'm sure I could get down a few superficial talking points, but I want to *know* the stuff.

I found this book on our Education system to be very interesting (it's a free download). She worked in Reagan's admin. http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/
To really get an eyeful about what's really going on with our environmental policy, you need to delve more deeply into the UN's Agenda 21. There is a handy booklet on the web that takes it apart. When you get to this point and if you want me to look it up for you, PM me and I will find it for you.

I have learned a lot about economics from a web-hosted weekly radio show called "Financial Sense Newshour" with host Jim Puplava. Its available every Saturday morning at: http://www.financialsense.com/fsn/main.html (http://www.financialsense.com/fsn/main.html) Downloading their weekly show to my iPod is the first thing I do every Saturday morning.

There are also lots of economic articles from lots of different authors on their website as well.

They also follow the teachings of the Austrian School of Economics that is promoted on the mises.org website.
