The next state to fall? Arizona...the government can no longer provide services to a population with one of the highest levels of illegal immigration in the country. With California being number 1 of course.

We face a state fiscal crisis of unparalleled dimension, one that is going to sweep over every single person in this room, as well as every business, every family, every Arizonan,"

Interesting to note that when the U.S. obtained Arizona there were less than 1,000 Mexican's in the entire state according to wikipedia and Britannica. After a modern civilization was erected millions stampeded across the border. It now is collapsing from having to provide so many handouts.

Don't worry, everything will be better in AZ WHEN McClaim and Kyl vote for Obamnesty. After all, amnesty was the "right thing to do" under GWB, so not voting for it now would certainly be "partisan".

I bet if we were sharing a border with Europe the same thing would happen.

So why don't they cut the handouts and leave the Mexicans alone?

Building walls to keep the looters out isn't a bad idea. People do it all the time with their personal property. We need to do the same thing as a nation, as long as the rest of the world is corrupt and mesmerized by socialism.

Let the productive people in, and tell the other countries to get their crap together and start acting like the USA. Respect individual rights, uphold freedom, encourage entrepreneurship. As long as their cultures are still reflecting humanity as it did 1000 years ago, they have no body to blame but themselves. We are the model of greatness, emulate us.

I would think all the money Redflex rakes in would keep them well into the black. Arizona feels like a police state, because there's police and cameras everywhere.

Local reports here say that the trend is that illegal aliens are deporting themselves because the jobs are drying up. We had a budget problem long before the nation as a whole did, so I wouldn't be surprised if AZ "fell".

Arizona could be next. But I think New York will be first.

Although we're VERY far from the border, we have the biggest "entitlement" programs in the nation.

Must. get. the fuck. out.

We share a large border with Canada and the northern states are doing quite well. Actually, most of the states that are doing really well are on the northern border. Look up some data on North Dakota.

Are circumstances different because Canadians won't do the jobs that Americans won't do?

I can't believe you are advocating to build a wall in this Police State. Good lord.

I never really thought about that. They could use the wall to keep Mexican's IN after they remake the border states into non-functional societies. The wall would also be expensive and could easily be tunneled under. I say, "Bring the troops home and put them on the Mexican border.
