View Full Version : Happy Festivus!
Now is the time for the airing of greivances.
I think the R's and the D's both come far short of being respectable partys in practice.
I want my liberty back - all of it.

Why are so many invented holidays always around Christmastime?

December 25th is the date of the roman holiday of the feast of Sol Invictus, (unconqured sun) which closed out the holiday of Saturnalia (dedicated to the god Saturn). Christianity didn't destroy Roman paganism but rather absorbed it.
