View Full Version : How many are "maxed out"?

I notice that the fundraising is going "ok" but not at a million bucks a week. So, how many of us are maxed out "by law" or simply because we are completely broke? Like so many people that I know, we have poured our heart and souls into this campaign and like so many of those people, I have allowed work time to suffer to get other things done and thus am facing some difficult financial times. Other things contribute as well, but donating with a cc and ADDING to my debt load simply isn't an option. Naturally, I will donate more to the campaign as often as I can in the amounts I can but I AM effectively maxed out financially - even if my donation total is not.

by law, no. By available funds, yes.

I'll be donating plasma and doing some auctions to get more money to contribute.

Anyone want some size 12 english riding boots? They retail for $800.

I sold my Gil Hibben Dragon Lord knife last week to donate (yes, the one I have "advertised" on these forums a couple of times.

That was my prized personal possession (it was a numbered limited edition of only 1,000 made) but it did bring in $300 for the cause.

I am personally tapped out right now but I will be doing what I can when I can. Unless I find something else worth selling, that means $0 until the 15th.

eBay. I sold some breeches there once for more than retail.

I have a working HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop. If someone buys it for $500, I will ship it to you for free and donate all of it to the campaign. Call me if interested: (435) 313-5084

I'm maxed out. I got all of my immediate family maxed out as well. And my ex and I have a ton of money tied up in sign buys and other grassroots projects.

Sounds to me like a lot of you guys need an auction site dedicated to donating to Ron Paul. I've heard that people on eBay aren't getting the concept of "Bid, winner donates to Ron Paul, you get item".

Might be my next venture, but I better do it fast.

They don't get the concept of "bid, seller donates proceeds to Ron Paul" either.

I put maxed out cause I'm very close. I can get around it though right by accepting loan payments from my brother in the form of donations?

You and others like you are the lifeblood of this movement.... I know it takes all of us... but your generosity in the form of money is crucial. Thank you for your sacrifice!

As long as he is making the donations directly.

You can loan money to your brother all you want. What he spends it on is no concern of the government.

Being maxed out is good...you see 44,000 MAX donations ($2300) for Ron Paul would be over $100 MILLION

The more people maxed out the better...

77% plan on giving more. The other candidates should be afraid, very afraid.

I have a Maxtor 200GB IDE ATA/100 Hard drive which is a collectible since it was purchased from a slickdeals post on Black Friday from staples amidst everyone else's orders being cancelled. (The actual order was for an ata/133 drive making this as good as a misprinted coin)

I have not yet opened it since I was saving it to mate with a cheap external enclosure.

I would be glad to sell this rare drive for only $2,000.

You don't have a choice of No - and I am in so much debt now that I may go bankrupt soon and giving more would be financial suicide.

$1200 will max you out, not $1100.
:)

Note, if possible, don't wait and then give it all at the end of the year when NH and IA are just days away. The campaign needs as much as they can get NOW.

But if you add in those who haven't donated at all, but plan to, the total is 85%!!!

The sooner people max out, the better. The campaign needs as much money as possible as early as possible.

I just checked out how much money I have in the bank -
$2,040 in checking
$273 in savings.

You know what that means?

If I didn't value going to college I'd have $13 in the bank :)
