After given some short time to think about it and after hearing Ron Paul's Q3 figures, I was abloe to turn my neocon, warhawk parents into Ron Paul conservatives. Its great and I think it can work for anyone too. The "hes the only one that can beat hillary" line worked wonders on my folks.

Great work. I've met so many "anybody but hillary" types amongst both parties as well as the unaffiliated.

I've had success with that argument too. It makes sense to people.

Only an anti-war candidate (or a moderate) can attract votes from outside the party.
Only a social conservative can rally the base of the party.

Ron Paul is the strongest anti-war candidate, and the strongest social conservative.

Hmmm.... I don't know if I could fairly characterize Paul as a social conservative. He's certainly an economic conservative, but he's fairly socially liberal (no marriage protection amendment, no federal abortion ban, pro-free speech and habeas corpus). He's not for regulating people's private activities.

It has nothing to do with liberalism. It has to due with constitutionality.
