Incredible.

Amidst all the sanitized coverage of horrors violence by armchair cheerleaders in our media, kudos to fox news for airing this video clip.

Its a shame really. I can't imagine spending multiple tours of duty in one of those 3rd World hell holes. Not to mention the guilt of killing for money.

No offense to any one who has been in our military, but I wish people would think much more about this before they join.

If they couldn't get the volunteers it would be much more difficult to maintain all of our overseas bases and make our soldiers the world's policemen.

They act like the issuance of condolence letters is more important than the number of suicides and why they are happening. And you never hear about how many veterans are committing suicide every year. The numbers are staggering.

Well if the government would just make it illegal to commit suicide while in the military then they would be able to court marshall them like insubordinates instead of having to issue condolence letters.

Can government get any worse? Chew'em up and spit'um out.

As Jerry Seinfeld might state it:

“If you are Commander in Chief and are worried about whether to write letters to hundreds of parents of soldiers who committed suicide, maybe writing is not your biggest problem.”

I shared it this afternoon, and have had had only one comment (which was positive).

Most people don't care, and would rather post:

"Wow, its cold this morning!"

"Going out to get some Starbucks!"

"Making cookies"

Tragic as this is, it's also a silver lining. These men were too good for a world built on violence; they'd rather take their own lives than murder innocents.

It's the soldiers who aren't killing themselves (and who don't end up in straightjackets) that we need to be worried about, since they're the ones who've been wiped clean of any sort of conscience.

These suicides usually don't have much to do with the soldiers being sad they killed somebody. Most of them are soldiers feeling lost and unloved in a desert halfway across the world. They feel that when they get back, there will be nothing for them, the will be forgotten like the Vietnam vets of yesteryear.

They're also worried about being redeployed to the place 5 times in a row. many of these suicides have occurred right before they're redeployed.
