After Gregg and Janet Keesling’s son, Chancellor, killed himself in Iraq in June, the family received a folded flag, a letter from the Army praising their son, a 21-gun salute at his burial and financial death benefits, but not a letter of condolence from President Obama.

we are not being told the full story about whats really going on over there...

the suicides are being grossly ignored.

Well I would probably contemplate suicide too, if I have to shoot a kid running with a gun towards me firing, or finding baby's carved out with bombs inside. The sooner we can take away the incentives for them to commit these crimes the better.

Amid record suicides, military officials are bogged in studies ....really? The bean counters have no idea why soldiers would commit suicide en masse?

What a nice looking couple. As a parent, I cannot imagine what it feels like. I'm surprised they were even told the truth about the suicide, really.

Yea it is strange why they can't figure out what is driving so many who have seen horrors of the obscene violence.
If Obama can make time to travel abroad to collect his nobel peace prize and give a long speech, he should be able to find time to write a letter to parents of these soldiers.

It appears a condolence policy review is underway:

That policy is such b.s.. The suicide is a result of the atrocities they witness in war destroying their mental health. They become just as disabled as someone who lost an arm or a leg. I hope NAMI jumps all over this issue.

Good point, but this policy has been in place for a long time, maybe suicide rate was never high like this in past conflicts.
