If I go around and get people to write a check to Ron Paul 2008 and then I put them all in an envelope and send them to the campaign that's legal correct?

Are you using contribution forms? You need to be collecting and reporting full names, addresses, occupations.

Ok, no I haven't started doing it yet. Just means I need to print that out along with my promise to work coupon. I plan on promising people via contract to do 2 hours of manual labor for every $25 they donate. Or 2 hours of computer work. I'm going to send my contract out via email as well and then they can send confirmation email and I'm going to keep track of my IOU's in a spreadsheet.

Wow, that's awesome of you!

There may be an issue with your labor being considered an "in kind" contribution. Not sure.. perhaps someone else is more familiar with the FEC regs.
