So South Korea just cut-and-runned its way to isolationism with North Korea?

Yeah the US, China, Russia, and Japan were all involved in the talks. Theres nothing wrong with the US mediating peace talks at all through diplomacy - Ron Paul is big on diplomacy. Its wars, force, sanctions, etc that he is opposed to. Now, they did bribe north korea with aid to halt their nuclear program, which im sure Ron WOULD be against, at least the aid part.

Good... now perhaps we can stop spending billions of dollars on the peninsula and bring our men home.

Sooo.... The Korean War is finally over? 'Bout time. It almost lasted 60 years.

I wonder if this gives the U.S. gov't some breathing room on military forces stationed on the Korean peninsula.

Now that peace is declared or whatever, they can start to rotate troops to Southwest Asia from there...

Bill Kristol cannot be happy. What if other countries get the same idea?

This could help Paul. Paul is always telling us let these guys take care of their own problems.

The big question, how will Fox News spin this to perpetuate the idea that the people in North Korea are "crazy people who want to kill everyone"

Oh... I don't know... Maybe by comparing it to the Munich Treaty of 1939.

Heh heh heh... 'Peace in Our Time." Crazy Neville Chamberlain.[/Homer Simpson]

Good. Now we can send those boys to Iraq!

I almost laughed at that, until I realized how sad the reality is.

They could have bribed North Korea with Twinkies and it probably would have worked. The people are dirt poor and practically starving. Sanctions do a great job of bringing the population to death's door yet the leaders maintain their lavish lifestyles. That's another reason why Iran is so pissed and ready to do business with countries who will do business with them.

Imagine those Asians brokering their own peace deals. Who knew. We should pack up our stuff and leave gracefully on good terms before they realize they can kick our occupying asses out.

But, interestingly enough, were spending $25M taxpayer dollars on fuel for their country as debt of gratitude. Interesting.

International news? Don't rely on the US media. Check out this link. It talks about cooperation on issues and items the average American has no idea even existed.

They are? That's news to us in South Korea. Didn't know they were like that. Last time I checked the leader of North Korea is a Movie lover.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS; We could easily come to this type of solution with the rest of the "axis" if Bush wanted such solutions.

Israel has a treaty w/ Syria as soon as we let them do their own thing.
