A simple question for all Presidential candidates:

What is the purpose of government?

The answer to this question would elucidate leanings toward either
a) the goal of perpetuation of the welfare/warfare state and continue the trend of larger and larger government that inhibits freedom and has the goal of keeping us 100% safe and secure, or
b) the goal of limited government and the protection of personal liberty.

What is the purpose of government? is a simple question they should all answer.

Good question thats what all the candidates should be asked.

But no way should the question be multiple choice though.

LOL, my hypothetical answers were multi-faceted not multiple choice.

The purpose of government is to maintain the power and wealth of the upper class. The purpose of government is to enslave the poor and middle class with an unfair monetary system, taxation system, and political system.
