I was browsing about that ridiculous website conservapedia (which is mostly offline right now, maybe due to Colbert). I looked at Obama's page and I was laughing pretty hard near the opening of the article it reads:
"Obama spent far more per vote than McCain did: Obama spent $7.39 per vote, while McCain spent only $5.78 per vote"
And I was thinking, I bet Ron Paul spent a hell of a lot more than that. So I looked up how much money he raised/spent and how many votes he received in the general election. $838.13 per vote.
You can't buy a national election. There are obviously many factors, and the media is probably numbers 1-15 with perhaps personal beliefs somewhere in the top 20.
