Tracy - it seems as though he's just talking about a specific instance, but you're extrapolating is position in that instance into a general "Trey thinks cutting government spending is a bad idea" statement. Do we have him on the record admitting to a blanket claim that cutting government spending is bad?

Well, he didn't make a blanket claim.

But if he's a true conservative he should be trying to cut spending in every department -- including his own.
