He needs to get confident, and NOW.

When does their news broadcasts usually air? I typically do not watch any TV with the exception of NFL football, south park, sometimes daily show/colbert report and sometimes C-SPAN.

This is fantastic!
I have to say, ABC is the most open-minded network around. They even have a libertarian on staff (Stossel). Maybe they're not as connected to the military-industrial complex as the other networks?

It would be a great thing if we could see Ron Paul take a chair to George Stephanopolous' head on network TV.

Am I the only one that wants to slap him down like the punk that he is?

Look at the Aaron Hankin story on ABC now (just over) - that story will give us more pro-RP coverage through anti-Iraq war sentiment.

OptionsTrader
10-03-2007, 04:48 PM
It was very positive and emphasized:

1) that he raised an amount on par with mccain
2) raised more this quarter than Q2, when other rebublicans raised less than Q2.
3) that RP gets the most in military donations among republicans
4)Title of story was "DARK HORSE" which is a positive

OptionsTrader
10-03-2007, 04:50 PM
DARK HORSE:

A dark horse (not to be confused with "black" horse) candidate is one who is nominated unexpectedly, without previously having been discussed or considered as a likely choice. Often a dark horse is selected as a compromise when other, more prominent candidates' factions cannot come to an agreement. This metaphoric expression originally alluded to an unknown horse winning a race and was so used in a novel by Benjamin Disraeli (The Young Duke, 1831).

The expression was soon applied to political candidates, among the first of whom was James K. Polk. He won the 1844 Democratic presidential nomination over Martin Van Buren on the eighth ballot and went on to win the election.

Well, it is a 3 minute interview with Ron Paul about his quarter's earnings.

Yes, that was good, but there was more to it on the News. I think a bit of this YouTube interview was included on the TV segment. More than this interview.

LOL at ABC World News saying "According to one study Congressman Ron Paul recieved more campaign cash from members of the military than did any other Republican presidential candidate"

that "One Study" was me adding up the numbers and posting it on facebook and then another facebook member taking it and posting it on his blog...
Even when the news is favorable they're not quite factual... heh...

AGREED! Ron's whole "innocent guy awestruck at his popularity" bit has got to go. When the MSN queries him about his popularity, he needs to reply:

"You're right. The message is popular, and our support is growing."

ROFL

Boy are they lazy.... HAHAHA

I advise all of you to remember that.

They don't make the news ('cept Fox). They only report the news.

YOU make the news. ;)

Also, always remember that in politics the media is always, ALWAYS enemy #1.

I think you guys are underestimating the importance of this.

He could appear 10 times on CNN and it not be as much positive exposure as this.

The anti-war message won the dems.
The "anti-current-DC" message won the indies.
The SOLDIERS deal won the social and national security conservatives.
The "vote against most spending" won the fiscal/business conservatives.

This piece could not have been crafted any better if Ron Paul's campaign wrote the script. He cannot, like mitt tries to do, buy this type of exposure. This segment was the most important 2 minutes in the campaign yet, w/ exception to the giuliani exchange.

By far the best piece this year. It appeals to everyone. Disappeals to nobody. And was featured in front of 7.6 Million viewers; Most of which have not heard of him, most of which are the people voting in primaries, most of which are the people being polled.

This is what my grandparents, who are not internet people, are watching. This is how we get a rise in poll numbers.
