In the midst of two wars abroad and a sour economy at home, there has been a sharp rise in isolationist sentiment among the public. For the first time in more than 40 years of polling, a plurality (49%) says the United States should “mind its own business internationally” and let other countries get along the best they can on their own.

Isolationism is ignorance, and non-interventionism is the only way forward from out of our economic and moral morass. Non-interventionism is only framed as “isolationism” by those amoral busybodies who believe that they have a right to rule over and enslave other humans.

So long as the establishment media and politicians continue to conflate the ignorant policy of isolationism with the brilliant policy of non-interventionism, then we will be doomed to pendulum back and forth between hyper-isolationism and hyper-interventionism, ignorant that a proper balance (as advocated by our Founders) even exists.

I'm glad they are bringing up isolationism now so we will have plenty of time to crush it before elections. Non-interference does not equal isolationism.

Isolationism != Non-interventionism

I know you know this already

Noninterventionism might be on the rise, but there are still distressing signs that people don't know what this means.

2/3 of voters still want preemptive war against Iran if they have are suspected of having nukes. You want another reason to not support Sarah Palin, there it is. She'll inflame that sentiment all day.
