so im arguing with these people and i throw out the remark about the bases around the world and compared it to china in the u.s. and the people said that the 700 bases around the world was not the same as china having bases in the u.s. so my question is how many bases are in the middle east ??

Just a guess, but I think the Saudi government was taking a lot of heat from its "citizens" about it.
