Police suspect Tiger Woods' car accident Friday morning may have stemmed from domestic violence he suffered at the hands of his wife, Elin Nordegren.

Circumstantial evidence certainly suggests that she flipped out on Tiger, although legally proving that could be challenging for local law enforcement.

Investigators have made one hard conclusion in their case: That not a single drop of blood from Tiger Woods was found on the Cadillac SUV he crashed.

Cops observed Tiger's lower lip split open and noted other facial lacerations after the wreck. But with no blood in the car, how did he really hurt himself?

Also, Elin Nordegren told them she smashed the back window with the golf club to drag Tiger, who was in an out of consciousness, to safety. Yet no blood.

This, combined with the fact that Woods has stymied three different requests for an interview, has understandably created more suspicion from the police....

....The Florida Highway Patrol sent troopers to the hospital where Tiger was treated to secure his medical records, but so far, that hasn't yielded anything.

The main focus of the investigation is Tiger's injuries - if they indicate he really was attacked by Elin Woods, she would almost certainly be arrested.

But if Tiger can stall investigators until his face heals, and medical records don't show anything conclusive or can't be obtained, Elin could be in the clear.

Maybe he played football earlier, maybe he fell down the steps, maybe he likes to have rough sex, maybe his wife smacked him....Who gives a shit? The idea of privacy is so foreign to these people.

Do your fucking job and arrest real criminal you idiots!

Chris Rock has never been known as a guy who keeps his opinions to himself. On Monday night on the red carpet at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York, group of reporters decided to ask the comedian's opinion about Tiger Woods' single-SUV crash into a fire hydrant and tree outside his Florida home (which, because of Woods' silence over the matter, has spiraled into a mess of rumor and speculation involving Woods, his wife Elin and a woman named Rachel Uchitel with whom the golfer supposedly had an affair).

Rock's expletive-filled reply (which was directed at the media and not at Woods) shined a harsh light on the blurry line between journalism and gossip.

"I don't have advice for anybody," he declared. "Nope. He got in a car accident. What the f---? You guys are the news. You're supposed to report the news. A guy crashed his car. You're making up s---. So are you reporting the news or are you making the news?"

Rock went on to stay there was no PR situation to be "handled" because the man simply got into a car accident. Readers, do yourself a favor and click on the video, because no printed quotes can capture the hilarity and savagery of Rock's truth-speaking delivery.

Just before heading inside for the ceremony, he added, "If I crashed my car on my f---ing property, it's a private matter!"

Bold is mine. You should hope so.

people are gossips. just because in the light of day he can sink some wonderous putts don't mean that at night an over-priced car could not be gremlin city, a foot couldn't go onto the wrong floor pedal inadvertantly, or that objects look WAY different at night in a mirror than they do directly in front of one in broad daylight. enough already. he don't have to say anything more than what his PR people told the media. he clearly hit the tree after he found the hydrant... enuff said!!!

Ahh man, I missed the morning show gag on Tiger this morning.. I caught the tail end, they were spreading a bunch of rumors and saying, "Assume that what we're saying is true until Tiger tells you differently!!"

They were making fun of the media for all the speculation that had been occurring.. They're a pretty funny morning crew, wish I coulda heard the rest.

You should listen to sports talk radio. Caller after caller offering his opinion, speculation, how this will affect his career etc...

You idiots don't have a clue what happened. Shut the fuck up and worry about your own lives. Right now the only "evidence" is that he got in a car accident on his own property.

It sounds like they're going to pursue charges. What a joke. If the FHP has time for this nonsense, perhaps cut backs on the force are in order to save the taxpayer some money.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/12/01/florida-highway-patrol-tiger-woods-charges-car-crash-pills/

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Florida Highway Patrol will move to have charges filed against Tiger Woods in connection with the accident last Friday.

We are told the FHP will announce the case is against Tiger -- not his wife. We do not know if the FHP will arrest Tiger or refer the case to prosecutors.

We know FHP was investigating whether Tiger was driving his SUV under the influence.

Tiger was drifting in and out of consciousness after the accident. As we first reported, his wife gave paramedics two bottles of prescription meds she says Tiger had taken though she did not know when. There was no evidence of alcohol.

The FHP is holding a news conference at 3:00 PM ET. We will livestream.

Why can't Tiger be the one to press charges? Because it's spousal abuse and some women feel threatened to report it?

Maybe if he cheated on his wife and he felt bad about it, maybe he felt he deserved a beating from her. I mean, obviously his intent was to keep it a secret, but if I cheated on my spouse purely for sexual gratification I certainly wouldn't want her to find out for her own sake. If she did, I'd feel really bad, cause I know how bad that would make me feel. I'd feel entitled to a little spousal abuse. Maybe even turn it into some sex thing and re-ignite the romance, who knows?

This isn't about Tiger Woods. It's about cops.

They don't have a right to conduct an investigation because someone has bruises. Maybe I got an elbow the face playing basketball. Maybe I tripped over my feet. Maybe I enjoy banging my head against the wall.

Cops are supposed to serve and protect - not butt into people's personal lives.

The investigation is not about bruises. It is about hitting a fire hydrant and a tree with a motor vehicle.

Chris Rock said to the effect: crashed on my own f--ing property

sorry, but if he hit a fire hydrant, he was most likely on the right-of-way - not his own property and it then is everyone's business. and should be investigated and prosecuted if needed.

let that be a lesson - if you're going to crash your car on your own property - make sure it IS your own property.

I agree completely. I almost started a thread like this. The waste of Police resources on this celebrity BS is outrageous. Even if she did beat him, he isn't pressing charges, so it isn't any of our business!

I heard that in Tiger's exclusive neighborhood, you actually do have to buy the fire hydrant outside your mansion.

Certainly he needs to pay for damages. That always happens in accidents. It doesn't mean that the local authorities spend a whole lot of time desperately searching for charges to file.

The investigation is not about bruises. It is about hitting a fire hydrant and a tree with a motor vehicle.

The cops went to the hospital to see if Tiger's bruises were consistent with that of an auto accident or if he had them before. This was reported all over ESPN and sports radio.

It looks like they didn't find anything. And if they did? I don't have to explain why I am bruised.

Laughable ... Tiger injures HIMSELF and the world goes nuts. If his wife roughed him up a bit, it's a family matter. Anyway, Tiger has more than enough money to handle this situation with ease. Just view the cops as flag pins, Tiger. ;) You also might want to move out of Florida and join the Campaign for Liberty instead of voting for socialists like Obama in the future.

I don't see that Tiger voted for Obama:

Tiger Woods operates in the Republican stronghold of the PGA Tour, and before the presidential election, he refused to say whether he was supporting Barack Obama or John McCain. Now, the No. 1 golfer in the world will be part of the president-elect's inauguration ceremonies.

Woods said on his website today that he has accepted an invitation to speak at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday at "We Are One," a concert and celebration that will feature Beyonce, Bono, Bruce Springsteen, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Wonder, among others.

"I am honored that I was invited to this historic event and look forward to participating in Sunday's festivities," Woods said.

Woods has traditionally stayed removed from politics, though after Obama's victory he told CNBC, "I think it's absolutely incredible. ... My father was hoping it would happen in his lifetime, but he didn't get to see it. I'm lucky enough to have seen a person of color in the White House."

He specifically avoided saying who he would vote for. Even after the results came in while he says he was honored to attend and he understands the historical significance he didn't say who he supports.

This is a guy who understands he is a golfer not a politician.

Haha... Opportunists come out of the closet at the scent of greenbacks. ;) Poor Tiger. If he really is cheating on his wife, he'll pay for it in numerous ways. When you're wealthy monetarily, you've got to watch your behavior. Fuzzy Zoeller was inappropriately sanctioned for some comments (jokes) about Tiger so Tiger also stands to be sanctioned for his behavior if proven true, e.g. the loss of revenue from canceled advertising.

Yes, because a persons color is more important than their policy. Hack. Man, I hope I get to see one day in my lifetime a President who is a libertarian. Golly, such a novel idea, and not just a half-way-there libertarian, I'm talking a staunch motherfucking libertarian. Well hey, that or a white guy...

I think it's obvious who he voted for and why.

So they were at it again today. They were playing the voicemail that he left on one of his mistresses' phones. It was something along the lines of:

"Hey, my wife is making me call you, can you take my name out of your phone so it just shows up as a number when you call? Can you do that for me?"

Still not sure what business this is of ours.. but it keeps coming in some how..
