Huckabee: 'Less than likely' I'll run in 2012

Mike Huckabee, the former Republican governor from Arkansas who has his own Fox show told Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday" that a 2012 presidential bid is "less than likely" and depends on whether Roger Ailes, the head of Fox News, keeps liking his show.

"The reason I wouldn’t is that this Fox gig I’ve got is really wonderful, " he said, talking about whether or not he would get in the race given that he is a GOP front runner according to most recent polls. "Jumping into the pool, you gottta make sure there is some water in it."

"......less than likely......."

That is, unless he is drafted by throngs of "libertarians", "conservatives", and "patriots", of the likes that his good friend Sarah Palin represents. (my interpretation)

if palin or huckabee runs, we need both of them to run to split the social/movement/conservative vote

Ron Paul has said that he's "very unlikely" to run in 2012.
He's also said that it's too early to talk about that yet.

Goddamnit if Ron is going to run, it's going to be for the same reasons he did in 07'. We have to want him to run! Whatever locals in every city he flies into should be out there with Ron Paul 2012 signs! Come on folks, there isn't anyone else near as good.

This won't help.

It has just been reported that Huckabee commuted a killer of four cops.

Now he is even less likely to run. Check http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=220852

Napalitano would do ok I believe. Getting a liberty minded individual in the white house is pretty much impossible. The whole system is set up against us.

Goldwater got the nod in 64, it isn't impossible, and with current conditions favoring us, I think Ron would win.

Yes, Napolitano would be just as good, but I don't see him running.

In the current times, people rely on news networks and newspapers for info. Fox News and Cnn are going to cover the politicians that lean their direction and more than likely agree with their audience. The mainstream media is going to treat a liberty minded guy like they did Paul, they'll ignore him or mock him. I don't see it happening at the federal level. Best we can hope for in my opinion is working locally and pushing for secession. The fed gov is corrupt and rotten, it's hopeless. There's a reason Paul is the only good guy in DC.
