I wasn't even watching it but I passed by a TV set that had it on and saw enough bullshit to make me face palm.

No one try and pretend that the Daily Show and Jon Stewart are "okay" or on our side somehow just because they make fun of the MSM (dannno and others?). Their writers are just as ignorant and delusional as any liberal.

Speaking on the subject of Obama's visit to China, Jon joked about how "communist" China is now "capitalist" America's largest creditor. Then made a sarcastic jab at the efficacy of capitalism, how this "fact" was ironic. What kind of message/misinfo does it send to the audience to say that a communist nation is the creditor of a capitalist nation. Jon's show rags on the MSM for shitty reporting and propaganda, but he engages in it himself by completely failing to get the most basic facts right.

Folks this is a complete and utter reversal of the truth, its just as Orwellian as saying war is peace. Its not like this is news to anyone on this forum, but America has a mixed fascist/socialistic economy accompanied by extreme government spending, and of course the spine of its economy (the monetary system) is the exact opposite of being free market. And China though it still has a 'communist party', has been moving in the direction of free markets for awhile.

You can move this to vent if you think it appropriate because really I'm just bitching, that was a fucking pathetic thing to see.

Ron Paul in a recent interview actually specified that he doesn't like to use the term capitalism, he prefers free market.

Capitalism CAN BE BAD when there is a dishonest monetary system, but capitalism is good when there is a free market.

Ok, your'e right, the people who promote socialism at the top, Gore, Clintons, elitists, they want power and money.

NOT your everyday average socialist on the street. They recognize that there is an inherent problem with our system, and it is human nature to want to steer the problem rather than "let go" and sort it out on it's own. The problem is that they don't understand the banking system and how it actually accounts for the disparity in rich to poor... and how THEY ARE the ones actually steering the economy and making the big corporations more powerful.

Well the Daily Show forum has a thread on the topic and I made a pretty descent post.. hopefully it will get some attention.

I tried to make the point that you don't have to believe the global warming theory in order to care about the environment, and in fact those who do their due diligence and find out that it is a fraud actually care more about the environment (because I believe global warming is in part a scam to divert attention away from the truely toxic pollution that is occurring and make environmentalists focus on harmless CO2.. of course it's a taxation and control scam as well..)
