I know we didn't think it was possible, but it is. Governmentisgood.com is a website devoted to extolling the virtues of a big, protective (not to mention well-funded) mommy government. It's created and run by (big surprise) a college professor, and it contains some absolute comedic gems. Especially funny is the "day in your life" page, where it's explained how absolutely essential government is for protecting us from hazards as diverse as "chaotic radio signals" and "unsafe drinking water" (gee, you mean it was the free market that put all the fluoride and chloramine in the taps?)

first page I looked at, first sentance I read:

Strategies for revitalizing government include publicizing its achievements, working to “reframe” government in the public consciousness, and building a pro-government political coalition.

lolololol

Because the governments "achievements" are not propagandized already in every kid's history book, and we are severely lacking pro-government politicians today. And I like that he is used revitalized, as if don't already have the largest state in history. This guy wants a totalitarian utopia I imagine, all things are possible with government.

Scanning through the rest of the page made me think I was staring in the soul of evil and ignorance. This beats the Obama Forum. I could make fun of pick apart every paragraph it seems, but it would be a waste of time as there are more mentally stimulating things to do elsewhere.

LOL! That explains his great zeal and passion for the website then! The smaller, more accountable, and less coercive government becomes, the more likely he is to find himself out of a job!
