FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- DeVore for California today welcomed the release of the latest Rasmussen Reports poll on the 2010 California Senate race. The first major poll taken since Carly Fiorina's official entry reveals no meaningful change in the candidates' numbers versus incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. Whereas the previous Rasmussen poll, released on September 23rd (http://bit.ly/2mLpwY), showed Boxer leading DeVore by nine points and Fiorina by ten, today's (http://bit.ly/zX9pL) shows the hypothetical Boxer lead reversed between the two Republican contenders: Boxer leads DeVore by ten points, and Fiorina by nine.

Joshua Treviņo, DeVore for California Communications Director, said, "Today's Rasmussen poll highlights the weakness of the Fiorina campaign. Despite an expensive post-rollout media blitz, despite a high-priced gaggle of consultants, despite the backing of the D.C. establishment, and despite Carly Fiorina's decade of national exposure, her campaign can barely eke out a single-point bounce."

Leisa Brug Kline, DeVore for California Campaign Manager, said, "Combine this poll with Carly Fiorina's admission, in Washington, D.C., this week, that she is already loaning her campaign money -- not even a month into her formal candidacy -- and you've got a picture of a Fiorina campaign that can't pay the bills and can't move the voters."

Chuck DeVore said, "The key to victory in this race was never a fistful of cash and a slick ad buy. Californians want principled leadership, a record of fiscal restraint, and a proven commitment to conservative values. We've got all that -- and that's why we'll win."
