Stick to taking out the recyclables, Angel.

The snooty co-op board of a luxury Upper East Side building is trying to evict one of its high-class residents for marrying one of its lowly porters, according to a $10 million lawsuit.

Christina Ambers, who's been called the "Heidi Klum of foot models," says the staff at her East 74th Street apartment building have been turning up their noses at her since she married former porter and doorman Angel Rotger earlier this year.

In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, she says their highbrow co-op board is trying to force them out.

You see a lot of that in NYC. It's almost like there are echelons of people.

There is quite a bit of that here in Chicago as well.

Go Angel! Go Angel!

I wonder if she let him quit his job?

ETA: There are 2 comments that are allegedly from neighbors, who claim the police are routinely called to the apartment. Here's one:
I live in the building and I think the Post should be ashamed of this article. Wait till their criminal record comes out then you all will understand the real story. I've been standing in the hall with my 16 month old and had 4 cops fly by me to their apartment. The door opens with her screaming and him being dragged out in cuffs. The Post has the story completely backwards.

Yeah good point, but who knows. I never trust any comments in these news stories. Here is a pretty illustrative one.

Good for the Co-op. I hope they succeed in getting them out. This guy, probably illegal to begin with, found himself a free ride with this woman. If I were paying the kind of money those units go for, I wouldn't want to live next to this guy either. You pay top dollar to keep away from the "elements". If he gets to stay, everyone else's rent should be reduced.
