Dear Freedom Lovers,

More than a million spectators are expected to watch 40,000 runners tackle the 26.2-mile course that winds through about 15 city neighborhoods. That's million with an M! Let's get out there and give the spectators something to talk about and read about during the course of the 6-8 hour event.

More details to come as far as a rally point for Ron Paul supporters. We will have signs and tons of literature to pass out. I am contacting the campaign to send us some more.

This may be the one of the last warm weather events to promote Ron Paul for this campaign. Can we pass out 25,000 pieces of literature? 50,000? What are you willing to do in order to restore our Constitutional Republic and our Freedoms? Also we can get all of our Ron Paul ballot access signatures done in one day if we have enough people!

Please discuss this one on the message board. Can we get 100 people out there to show Chicago loves Ron Paul? Can we get 50 thousand pieces of literature out to Chicagoans?

The campaign has donated $1,500 dollars for this event in the form of 50,000 slim jims. Can we match that amount? We are having a pledge drive to fly a plane over the Chicago Marathon Area to multiply the effect of our efforts on the ground by a multiple of 5.

Recently the Michigan Ron Paul Group flew a plane over the the stadium at a University of Michigan game and had great results. It amplified the effectiveness of the message of the people on the ground. Check it out here.

It's up to you to win this election, and win our country back!

"I will contribute $35 or more to fly a Ron Paul for President Banner over the City of Chicago during the Chicago Marathon, and expose 1,000,000 people to Ron Paul's message of Peace & Freedom but only if 35 other Ron Paul supporters will do the same." http://www.pledgebank.com/RonPaulMarathon

Nice two-sided smaller flyer, on glossy paper here: 5000 for like $250 FULL COLOR glossy... can't beat that price.

They should use sky writing instead. Banners behind planes are harder to see than a giant RON PAUL in the sky.

I am astonished! We have accomplished our fundraiser of 35 people pledging $35 to fly a banner over the city of Chicago during the Chicago Marathon. For the past 5 days people slowly made pledges for a total of 20 pledges 8 PM tonight. I decided to post the event on RonPaulForums.com and amazingly 15 people signed up less than 2 hours. All over the country people are sacrificing to elect Ron Paul as our President. I received pledges from California, Florida, Utah, and New Hampshire.

It is now up to us to show up (in big numbers) for this event and help live up to the generous donations that poured in from all over the country and Ron Paul. This may be one of the last big events of the year that we can reach thousands outside. Please do what you can to be there.

Most of the foot traffic is going to be around the start/finish areas of Millennium Park and Grant Park. Therefore we will be meeting this Sunday at 8 AM and 10 AM on Sunday at the "Bean" to gather and then disperse throughout the crowd. 8 AM for the start of the race and 10 AM to meet the racers and their families and friends as they begin to cross the finish line. We should be wrapped up no later than 4 PM. For travel advice please go to www.chicagomarathon.com. Bring signs to wave and give exposure to Ron Paul. Good weather is expected temps above 80 degrees.

This will be the first event that we will be passing out the new Ron Paul for President slim jims, I am receiving a shipment of 50,000 from the campaign specifically for this event. With a group of 675+ there is no reason that we can't get at least 75 or 100 people out there and distribute tens of thousands of slim jims in one day! So far only 30 or so people have volunteered between the different Illinois groups. Let's do this! Please go to http://ronpaul.meetup.com/94/calendar/6428176/ to RSVP

One last thing. I have until noon tomorrow to decide what the banner will read. Please go to http://ronpaul.meetup.com/94/polls/96932/ to vote on submissions from our group members. Please feel free to vote. We hope to have liftoff for the plane and banner at 9:45 AM so that it can make it to the area by 10 AM and be near the finish area when the first runners start to cross the finish line. There is and an outside chance that we can get some T.V. exposure! It will continue to be in the air until 12:45 if everything goes according to plan.

Thanks again for your help.

Regards,

Brian Costin

Brian-Have you seen this?:

Runner Reunite Area
The Runner Reunite area will be located at Buckingham Fountain. Alphabetically posted signs will enable you and your runner to establish a specific meeting place after the race. It is best to have a detailed plan to reunite with runners. Remember, it may take some time for runners to walk through the finish area and pick up their gear, so plan extra time accordingly. It is also suggested to have an alternative reunite plan at a location outside of Grant Park, should you be unable to connect with your party.

People standing around waiting are a good captive audience for the RP message.
