Balzano said Saturday he isn't targeting Boy Scouts. But given the city's decision in July to lay off 39 SEIU members, Balzano said "there's to be no volunteers." No one except union members may pick up a hoe or shovel, plant a flower or clear a walking path.

Unions are not universally bad, just the ones that use political mafioso violence to achieve corrupt means.

However, libertarians would do well to ally with non-political unions such as the IWW (http://www.iww.org/)

My outrage is generally geared towards unions that deal with government employement, but I'm not so sure where I'd see eye to eye with most modern unions in general.

I'm in a union.

I pay 20$ a week, working 8.10 (min wage is 8.00), and end up working 16 hour weeks getting 100$ after fees and taxes.

wtf are they doing to help me out?

we every other week it seems have people sitting outside with a table fighting walmart. "FIGHT WALMART EXPANSION" or some tripe like that. our walmart tried to become a superwalmart, though it just became a walmart plus instead I guess cause it wasn't big enough, but the unions hate them for putting food in the place anyways.

Oh, man, I would actually love to see a municipal union crawl up BSA's ass over something like this.

The thing the unionists are probably too stupid to realize is that eagle scouts don't grow up to become union good ol' boys. They tend to grow up to be self made, voting, armed, critical thinking leaders.

That's right, union toads.... go ahead and dump on your future handlers. See how far that gets you.
