Why you should pledge at [/URL]http://www.randsteaparty.com (http://www.randsteaparty.com)

Rand Paul is ahead in the latest polls, and is being referred to as the front runner in this race. Don't let Rand's lead slip. Let's make sure he gets another $1,000,000 quarter. Sign up today at http://www.randsteaparty.com (http://www.randsteaparty.com)
There is no minimum donation required to pledge, every amount helps! Rand predicted that he would have 20,000 individual donors by the end of the 4th Quarter, so even a $5 donation will help reach that goal.
Pledging now will help build momentum for more donors and pledges. Take a few seconds now and pledge at http://www.randsteaparty.com (http://www.randsteaparty.com)
If you don't feel comfortable giving out your email, you can use a temporary email address! There are several web sites that will give out temporary email addresses for free, so don't let the fear of spam prevent you from pledging. Here are a few of the more popular temporary email services:

http://www.guerrillamail.com/ (http://www.guerrillamail.com/)

Facebook wasn't used a lot in the last Rand bombs so maybe people don't see the point of pledging and "attending" the Facebook event.

For those that are answering "No, I have not pledged" would you care to chime in and say why? I assume that some of the no answers are due to opposition to participating in politics based on principle, but I am interested in the other reasons as well.

I realize people think this race is "everyone's race" because it's a chance to get a liberty candidate (and Paul family member) elected. That's cool :) I started thinking recently about it, and came to the decision that I would really hate it if people from outside my state helped support a candidate to win in my state, and the impression I got was that the outside help pushed them over. I think that, rather than donate a minimal amount of money to a campaign in a state I'm not in, I will put it towards some of my charitible efforts this year (they are sorely needed).

I've given to a lot of efforts this year... I just have decided not to pledge for this one, that's all.

I really wish liberty supporters would STOP trying to sabotage each other's moneybombs. This is getting absurd. I just got an email advertising *another* new Trevor Lyman moneybomb and guess the date? December 16. Too many competing moneybombs going on...and as I predicted months and months ago, they're becoming competititons and dividing the supporters between candidates, which weakens ALL candidates. I guess divide and conquer works well even within our own movement.

And in the same state in 2008, Mitch McConnell got 59% of his campaign money from individuals from out-of-state. Apparently the establishment hacks backing Grayson now had no problem when McConnell was doing it last year.

Also: Rand Paul got a higher number of donations from people in Kentucky in the third quarter of this year than Grayson did in that same exact three month period.

"Teabombs.com" launches effort to bring conservative change to Washington
CREATORS OF THE 'MONEYBOMB' TAKE CONCEPT TO NATIONAL STAGE
WITH NEW WEB SITE, NATIONAL TELEVISION AD

November 11, 2009 - Across the country, voters continue to speak out against runaway spending and government expansion that threaten freedom and prosperity - for today and for future generations.

Today, a new Web campaign is being launched by the award winning creators of the "moneybomb," the goal of which is to combine their proven and unprecedented fundraising results with the energy of Tea Party activists and other conservatives seeking real change in the nation's capital.

The new site, www.TeaBombs.com, gives participants a chance to choose incumbents that need to be sent packing, and then to pick a reformer challenger, in a patriot primary, to take their place. Then, on December 16, the top ranked challengers will be moneybombed by donors across the country, giving their campaigns a jumpstart and a new network of donors that will give them the winning edge on the opposition.

The site is being launched today, along with a national television ad.

The moneybomb was the online marketing achievement of Trevor Lyman, now one of the founders of teabombs.com. The first moneybomb was launched two years ago today, and raised over $4 million. The teabombs.com moneybomb is taking place on the second anniversary of the December 16, 2007 moneybomb, which raised $6 million and is said to hold the record for the largest single day internet fundraising effort ever.

"We've seen hundreds of thousands of Americans - from the tea parties to the 9/12 rally in Washington - who are tired of business as usual in Washington and who are ready for conservative change," said Lyman. "It's clear there is a lot of energy out there, and the goal of teabombs.com is to translate that energy into action."

"We are launching teabombs.com because it's become clear that with few exceptions, Washington politicians don't have the courage to govern on the principles they were elected upon. As a result, our generation and those to come are going to be on the hook for crippling debt that will bring our economy to standstill. We're faced with a clear choice - more government, or more liberty. We think that more and more Americans are waking up and realizing our nation is at a crossroads, and that it's time to choose," Lyman said.

I think Lyman feels like he "owns" the moneybombs or something.

The fact that you can say that second one is my point. I think it is *crucial* that he be able to say both that he got a crapload of pledges/donations, and that he be able to say they were overwhelmingly from the people he's going to represent. That's not to say NO ONE should donate from out of state. That'd be stupid. I just have to pick my battles, and gave you my own explanation. I figured it would not be popular, but it's mine.

Pledged. Won't be able to give nearly as much as I'd like, but each seperate donation also is important. It demonstrates the diversity of support. Everyone should be able to put their name on the list for even just a few bucks.

Yeah, I calculated the ratio between donation amount to pledge, and high/low was $240/$180.

Screw these puppets, that wish to continue the establishment in this country. I seek liberty and I will donate what I can to the cause, along with the time I have, without it we may fight in the streets.
