Ron Paul not running would have made more sense when he first thought about running.... Now look at it.... We will amaze EVERYONE!

Nice milestone number that is going to be a struggle to reach, but realistic. However, $12 just seems like a strech and a little arbitrary. Like they extrapolated the average hourly donations of the frenzied drive last week to forecast what they want.

I thought 500k would be tough, after 12 hours i wasn't worried.... i thought 1M was tough.... after 3 days i wasn't worried... i'm sure they know what they're doing.... i have faith ;)

It will be more than 12 million. Why would we stop at 4 million a month?

I plan on getting the word out to as many people as I can about RP (as always), and hopefully this campaign will grow faster than any of us could imagine (it better, or otherwise we're in trouble!).

Why are you second-guessing the campaign. Hardly 10 minutes into this, and already people second-guessing. Jeesh.

With negative pessimistic thoughts, of course we can't do it.

Not if we all become Ron Paul bundlers it's not. I'm setting a personal goal of getting people to give 12K by then end of the year. And a certain % of that will be asking ALL my family members and friends who would give me presents to donate instead!

Yeah Clinton raises double that in one month - We will need to blow this number away to have a fighting chance....RP needs 25-40 million

I think they need to get a new meter up and set a goal of 12 million this quarter. I know we can reach that! When they give us a goal to reach we will reach it!

The fireworks is nice but it takes for freaking ever to load.

* EDIT just checked his site haha i guess they did it!

we are forgetting Ron Paul does not need the banging $$$ amounts because HE DOES NOT WASTE the money. The banging numbers would be great though :)

I agree they should have gone with $10 million.

No time to be "sensible" terlinguatx. We can do $12 million.

We need NEW Ron Paul fans - If we each get a handful of new supporters to donate we'll blow through this number. Congress has an 11% approval rating. Dr. Paul is everything the rest of congress isn't. 89% of 300,000,000 people equals how much each to get 12 million. Yeah I think we can handle that.

A few weeks ago i would have agreed but the guys running this campaign continue to display superb judgment on all fronts. It looks difficult now but if we finally begin to get the props we need in the media in the coming weeks this will seem less & less daunting as time goes on.

Let your foes now exactly how its going? I like it, they can sweat is it climbs. Now if the programmer had Rudy at the top of the statue and he would fall off once 12 mil was hit, I am sure it would get hit. Open government, right?

That assumes the base of voters and supporters stays about where it is now.

One critical point is that to raise more money, we need to involve ALOT more people and we can not involve more people without spending the money to reach them.

Maybe this can give an insight into Q3 #s.

2.4mm * 2.5 = 6 million for Q3
6 mm * 2 = 12 million for Q3 & gives the added .5 for the "beat expectations" increase.

just speculation...but who knows

I agree. Remember how much candidates wasted on the Iowa Straw Poll? The only reason most of us support Ron Paul is because he is very, very fiscally responsible.

You need to factor in the fact that they'll be spending more on advertising, people will be getting more interested in the race, etc...

These numbers might be doable, we just need to work really really hard. October is gonna be rough.

It's not arbitrary. There are (roughly) 12 weeks in each quarter, and we raised $1.2 million in one week this quarter, hence they're thinking we can do this EVERY week of the 4th quarter....that's where the $12 million figure comes from.
