The hypocrisy and hubris is at astronomical levels. After ramming through irresponsible socialist programs that will forever change this country into a dependent, overtaxed, dollar trashed, middle class destroying, nanny state...Barrack Obama will pose as a fiscal conservative starting next year.

In other words, the teleprompter will change, the hollywood elites, and political pundits will overnight change their script to get you to believe that the federal government shares your concern about the federal defecit. They will try to revise history, and count on Americans not just having short memories, but political amnesia.

"President Barack Obama plans to announce in next year's State of the Union address that he wants to focus extensively on cutting the federal deficit in 2010 – and will downplay other new domestic spending beyond jobs programs, according to top aides involved in the planning. "

"For starters, the White House has not dropped plans for an aggressive global warming bill early next year that will be loaded with new spending on green technology and jobs – that would be paid for with tax increases. Democratic lobbyist Steve Elmendorf says the White House focus on deficit reduction could easily kill the cap-and-trade effort. “I think this means cap-and-trade has to go to the backburner,” he said

My analysis. After ramming through an extremely unpopular health care bill, the propaganda will shift towards job creation. This will coinicide with the cap and tax program, that will be sold as a job creation program. The conservatives will be blamed for trying to prevent America from growing its labor force, green jobs, technology, etc.

Shortly thereafter, the focus will be entirely on budget politics, and the two parties will simply play the blame game to get people back into the false/left right paradigm. The elections will actually just become a distraction to keep people from realizing the country has been fundamentally changed from a free market economy to a centrally planned economy. They also hope that enough people will be fooled to prevent another conservative takeover of both the houses of congress.

Yes, they think we are that stupid.

Sounds about right. I just wonder when the "necessary global economic cooperation" will be offered up -and by which party. Something like "The Federal Reserve was just not enough to handle this big global economy, it's got to be a global solution."

Kinda got the sheep ready for the "R's" pushing this scam with Bush's "global crisis", perhaps more palatable if offered to the neocon voters.

I imagine the 2nd amendment battle will be saved for 2012, after increased desperation leads to more folks going off the deep end for a few years. Throw in a couple of terror acts happening on Obama's watch and they're good to go.

I dread to think of the "R" talking of "hunting rifles" that will be offered up to a bunch of spineless voters.

Well, it worked for Clinton, didn't it?
Man got caught getting hummers in the oval office, and it didn't matter because he balanced the budget.

The thing I'm most curious about is where he thinks the money will come from. I think it's funny that the only domestic programs will be jobs creation - quick, name ONE domestic program which is not a make-work program.

It doesn't matter... the man is facing serious 10th amendment challenges, talk of secession, renewed interest in a con-con, and now a continental congress to petition the government for redress of grievances. A new version of the same old shell game isn't going to throw them off the scent.

Man I hope you're right.

I can see it working on the masses though. I mean, think if he starts going on about this early next year, then the R's can come back with the same rhetoric, they could have that bi-partisanship they've been "trying" so hard to have. Everybody lives in peace and love....and chains.

I know basically nothing about economics, but I am getting better with reading bullshit. And I can see this type of display working on a shitload of people.
